I am a student researching the comparison in laws between the UK and France. What are your views on the differences and do you fully understand the UK's photography laws?

It is not the laws on photography (there are no specific "photography laws" that I know of in the UK or France,*** ) but rather the laws on publication, privacy and copyright which would differ.
There are bye-laws on commercial photography or private property/landowners can put their own restrictions on photography/publication on their premises should they so desire
France have very strict privacy laws which means that although you may be able to take photographs of virtually anything or anyone in public, the publication of those pictures, even as "art" or editorial would potentially be an offence in France but not the UK.
*** in the UK the only one I can think of is taking photographs in court or in the court precincts.
There are also sections in the terrorism act which mention photography but they do not forbid the "normal" taking of photographs, only the use/circumstances under which they are taken.
I'd suggest you offer your views on the laws and differences, because of course you've researched them already and can offer points for people to discuss. I'm sure your not trying to get us to do your homework for you...
