Me, the wife and the dog are heading to Anglesey today and will be staying there until Friday.
I'm looking for ideas / inspiration for photography spots while there.

We're staying a 20 minute walk from South Stack Lighthouse so that's already on the list, any recommendations of other spots?

I've decided not to take any of my heavy Canon kit so I won't be going to RAF Valley, I'll have my Hasselblad X2D II and Fuji GFX 100RF, so I'll be looking to do landscape / scenic shots. :)

Bit windy there today?

Menai suspension bridge
Penmon point
Parys mountain
Porthwen brickworks
Caernarfon castle- CADW so pay admission
Llanddwyn beach & Island

Sure is windy here today. All my suggestions would be wild life based, so not much use to you. As well as the above there’s plenty of rugged coast around Rhosniegr and Aberffraw or Rhoscolyn / Borth wen. All of which will be looking pretty spectacular in this breeze (given due care ofc) high tides being between the 6s and 7s depending which side of the island you’re on.

Some spectacular colours and industrial history at Parys Mountain Copper Mine as mentioned above, Google for sample images and location. Amlwch Port. Beaumaris Castle.

We've just come back from almost 2 weeks over in Wales - first 7 nights on the Snowdonia/Anglesey border. I had quite a few spots on Anglesey to visit but we only managed a few as spent most of our time in Snowdonia.

I thought South Stack was a bit underwhelming tbh - just looked down on it & took a few basic shots.
Newborough/Llanddwyn was enjoyable but we were there midday/early afternoon rather than sunrise/set.
Rhosneigr was a nice little wander with some nice scenes.

I had Aberffraw on the list, the church on the island by the race circuit, Beaumaris, Penmon, Moelfre, Cemaes, Porthwen Brick Works..... But we didn't do any of those :ROFLMAO:

We were there in 2020 just before the UK was closed for business. This was one highlight of the visit

together with the cakes in the tea room.

I can literally see it from my window ;)

We always visit Cemlyn Bay when in Anglesey. Good for walk, maybe not too good in poor weather.
Point Lynas Lighthouse is a in dramatic setting and there's a good chance of sighting dolphins/porpoise.

Just up the road from you should be a path which takes you to the top of the mountain which will give you give some stunning panaoramas, also not far are the remains of some neolithic(?) round houses.
If you wanted a gentle and flat walk there's Newry Beach in Holyhead with a wide vista over the marina and inner harbour. If you like old churches there's St Cybi's in the centre of town, but beware it's often close because of vandalism.
Then there's the Mountain Park with the ruins of the old quary workings.
Along the south side of Holy Island between South Stack and Trearddur Bay are some nice, IMO, picturesque beaches. Also on the south coast of Anglesey are some nice beaches.
Enjoy wherever you go!

Weirdly I've just been out with the dog and we were looking at the round houses, our accommodation is right in front of them :)

I've already walked up to South Stack, not with my camera but when I was walking the dog, and I know exactly what you mean

We have a caravan sites at Lligwy bay near Moelfre.
To be honest you're spoilt for choice.
Along with the other places mentioned the ship wreck in Dulas Bay can be good but watch the tides.

Din Lligwy Bronze age settlement is interesting, just outside Moelfre, and the road overlooks the bay for a couple of scenic shots.

Penmon Priory is also interesting, a nice lighthouse at the beach on the way down there and a fantastic 16th century dovecot.

Loads around there. There was a guy on Youtube that used to be based there. - https://www.youtube.com/@DGriffGallery

Here are some I have marked

Parys Mountain
Porthwhen Brickworks
Penmon Point
Beaumaris Castle
Beaumaris Pier
Ynys Llanddwyn
Porth Cwyfan
South Stack Lighthouse

a couple shots of the tin mine if you get chance go, lovely colours

Those cameras would take full advantage of the detail, some nice ruins as well at the bottom. need about 1 1/2 hrs up and down and round.
