or, gloves for photography. Please move if in the wrong place. I just thought this is photography related.

What with autumn and winter on the horizon I have been looking for a pair of touchscreen gloves that will keep my hands warm.
I’m not going on a photoshot to the artic so I’m not looking for the Everest of gloves. I was wondering if there is a good pair that will keep arthritis fingers warm but I can still use the screen on the back of a camera. They would probably be used mostly while I walk the dog.
I have a very good winter pair but my fingers do not like the cold. Taken then on and off in the cold is not good for me (same as the gloves that you pull half the finger back).
There’s a sea of touchscreen gloves out there but was wondering if there’s any better suited for photography/photographers.
 
I know it's an extra thing to carry - but have you thought of one of those touchscreen pen / stylus type things? A lot more focused than trying to use fingers through gloves.
 
Gloves designed for fishing are a cheaper option usually than gloved designed for photography and will do the same thing as they allow access to your thumb and index finger.

About 18 months or so ago we ran a few competitions on TP with prizes of camera straps and gloves from RucPac that we were given by the supplier in return for the promotional impact of the comp's. I did a bit of a review of them in our Blogspot too as I recall. I think we still have a few pairs left over (due to sizes wanted/available), but they are still packed from my house move. I'll reinstate the giveaways when I've confirmed what we have left actually. Not that this helps the OP, but I believe RucPac are stocked by Wex.
 
I used to use neoprene divers gloves, these were really warm even when wet. Now though I use tactical gloves, they work better with the touch screen.
 
Normally I just put up with cold hands

They are pretty good but tbh not good enough for the arctic. Then again that's not your use case, should be plenty good for most non-arctic places

I do have some Ridgemonkey K2XP Waterproof Gloves. Very comfortable and warm. They don’t have the access to fingers as I didn’t want those. Just a few minutes blast of cold on arthritis fingers is painful

Those RucPac and Seal Skinz that I just looked up are the kind of thing. Touchscreen without any fingers having to be exposed.
 
This isn't much help right now, but I know I have some RucPac gloves to use as prizes but limited sizes available, which makes it awkward. Added to whicvh, they are in a box in my garage which is currently full of kitchen cupboards and appliances as the kitchen is currently being refitted, so I can't get to them.
I found the thinner ones to be comfortable, they did take the chill off and my wife in particular thought they were excellent. I used them as under-gloves with a thick pair that had removable fingertips, on really cold days, and it was an effective combination, albeit expensive to buy.
