Photography books?

I bought 3 books from Amazon:

"Understanding Exposure: How to Shoot Great Photographs with a Film or Digital Camera"
Bryan Peterson; Paperback; £10.31

Im half way through this one, its great, really helpful and has large pictures so you can visualise what he is talking about.

"Digital Photography Masterclass: Advanced Photographic and Image-manipulation Techniques for Creating Perfect Pictures"
Tom Ang; Hardcover; £11.99

Going to start on this one after I have read Understanding Exposure. Some case studies in there and also covers basic post processing.

"Mastering Your Digital SLR (revised edition): How to Get the Most Out of Your Digital Camera"
Chris Weston; Hardcover; £12.48

I bought this one because I was reading it in a bookshop here and I liked reading about the basic operations of a DSLR, and it has some decent diagrams in there to explain DSLR operations, rather than just text. Its a non essential but I am really happy with the purchase.

Anytime I buy a new camera I buy a book to go with it. :)

Just bought "Mastering the D700" because it's kind of like a fully explained manual. Where the camera manual just tells you where button X is, the book tells you what button X can be used for and why you might want to use it.

Always really helpful.

I have the following.. and highly recommend them:

Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson
Exposure by Chris Weston
Lighting by Chris Weston
Perfect Exposure by Michael Freeman
The digital photographer's guide to filters by Ross Hoddinott
Digital Exposure Handbook by Ross Hoddinott

some repetition... but some great/ unique insights in each one
