Photographing Africa tonight on BBC4 at 9.00 till 10.00 Heads UP:)

A fascinating programme. If there hadn't have been the photography element I just admit I probably wouldn't have watched it but have to say it was well worth it. I did feel the photographer, Harry Hook, missed a trick in using black backgrounds in most of his shots. When they were more "on location" style there was an environmental element that added to the impact. He had a really calm and friendly approach to the tribes people and was nice to see he didn't just go in firing the shutter at anything that moved.

Fascinating documentary. Great photographs.

Missed it but I'll watch it on catch up - thanks.

I watched the Rankin doc 'shooting celebrities' after this, then the Bailey interview.

A great nights tv, all available on the iplayer.
