I picked up my new bike yesterday, a Victory Vision Tour, beautiful bike, I really want to go out this week and get some good shots of it.

I have a location in mind that will give it a really nice backdrop and I am hoping for the first time to shoot in full manual mode, Ive got all day to set up and mess around with all the settings, I will be taking a tripod with me, and shutter release cable so I am hoping for some pin sharp pictures.

What lens would you recommend for this type of photo, if you check my camera bag I have a nice selection, I really want to try out my nifty fifty, and Ive got a really nice wide angle and tele lenes as well.

Any tips would be really welcomed and appriciated.

Thanks in advance for any help and advice

For nice full side-on shots I'd use a longer focal length for a flatter perspective. It would also help reduce depth of field to isolate the bike from the background. Try getting lower too, down to the level of the bike instead of shooting down onto it.
Also, why not try a couple of lenses and see their effect? Some close shots with your 20mm will exaggerate perspective and add interest.

A nice wide angle is good, allows you to get right up to the wheels for nice front and rear shots with the whole bike in.
