I am going to publish a book of photographs, drawings & graphics on the male member (I could be a little more specific but I won't just in case I offend anyone). I have a title for the book and also a format. It will consist of photographing 365 male 'subjects' and interpreting these images in various ways. It will be very much an arts book & not a pornographic one! (let's see how broad minded this forum is). If you are squeemish about photographing so many willies....:) Look away now!

Payment, & copyright & possible royalties etc. will have to be negotiated.

Ideally I am looking for a photographer / Graphic designer all rolled up into one, but if that's not possible I will just take the photographer. He/she must be extremely creative, flexible and with great communication skills.

Location, dates & timescale will depend on finding the right photographer.

Any questions, please do not hesitate in contacting me.

All the best

Marco

I think no replies would have been more helpful than whats been written above.

sorry praxis. but with a request like that, people ARE gonna take the micky.

Maybe so but give the request the respect it deserves. Thread cleaning in progress

I agree and think the book could sell well.

The puppetry of the penis theatre show was sold out for weeks in advance.

Good luck to the original poster!!!

Marco,
Apologies for previous post (now deleted) and good luck with the project.

Good Idea Marco, but can I give you a little advice, next time you have an idea and seek help from a professional or anyone, don't give out too much information regarding the project. You could have just asked if anyone was interested in a project involving male glamour/nudity for the publication of a book, the success of which could lead to worthwhile income via royalties etc.
By giving out as much information in your posting you now run the real risk of someone stealing your idea and getting it on the shelves before you.

My wife and a friend went to one of these shows, in Swindon I believe - and both left early saying it was disgusting...!

One more thing about them, was Jen said that loads of ladies in the audience were in stitches of laughter watching - which is all well and good, and I imagine on times quite funny (if not distasteful). However, if these ladies hubby's had attended such a 'show', where ladies were contorting their bits for the world to see in all manner of ways; stretching, bending, pulling, elongating etc... would those same wives have considered that this was OK for their hubby's to be watching!!?? Yeah right...

Anyway, that is slightly off topic - and as has been said, I think the OP will have a very difficult task of getting any photographer to take hundreds of different 'arty' shots of things that are, well come on... just not very arty...:)

Puns aside, I was pretty serious about 365 arty shots. I am assuming there will be several models and whilst we can all agree that like any human part, its a subject that comes in many shapes and sizes, albeit generally to same basic layout, 365 artsy shots is big ask IMO. Also, please dont be offended guys, but it's not the most attractive part of your bodies visually [hence the thing about 'linfords lunchbox', etc, its what that hidden but obvious apendage promises rather than seeing the real thing]. It also answers Johns thing about women laughing at such shows - think about it, why do women watch the Chippendales and come home with aching jaws from laughing, whilst at a male strip show, there will be a significant proportion of men taking it...well, shall we say 'seriously' ;) Because swinging your 'all' around in public just isnt attractive.

So, if any tog, and Marco can come up with all the shots and make them worth looking at I wish them the very best of luck, it might at least be a slightly more serious take on the subject.

More intriguing [and taking Galaxies comments into account, I don't actually want an answer to this] is the target market of such a photographic book - its not exactly coffee table material is it? ;)

Marco was actually asked to present as many facts as possible, so that his request for a photographer for his project would be taken seriously by the members and hopefully aid his search.

However, if these ladies hubby's had attended such a 'show', where ladies were contorting their bits for the world to see in all manner of ways; stretching, bending, pulling, elongating etc... would those same wives have considered that this was OK for their hubby's to be watching!!?? Yeah right...
Havent men been going to strip shows for years?
Women go to these shows for a laugh.
Generally men like to see women's bits for 'other reasons' no?

its not exactly coffee table material is it? ;)

Actually back in the 80's I received a coffe table book called 'Rude Food'. It was amazing just how diverse & imaginatively the models displayed ice cream & & gelatin cherries :naughty:

I dont really think Marco is looking for a debate on our personal feelings toward his subject... just a person for the job.

If my photography skills were up to the task & if it were my neck of the woods, Id have been interested in hearing more details.
Just think of the interest such a project will generate when its brought to fruition ... certainly get your name out there!

OK Glo, fair point about the 'exposure' from taking on such a project [absolutely NO pun intended :nono: ] and London is my neck of the woods, but like you, I dont think my photographic skills, or indeed, the limits of my artistic interpretation are up to it. I havent even done any studio work yet, and I suspect this is going to require a good knowledge of techinical aspects such as lighting as well as open, imaginative thought. Could be a good project for an more experienced tog though.

Wasn't this recently done for a tv show?

Yes it was.. I saw it too.

They went around public places and asked the men to photography there own tackle and email or send it to an address where it was collated and mounted and then shown in a gallery in London somewhere.

If I remember they had over 1000 willies on show...

So i think the idea is a little old hat.

Snap your chap:lol:

Either only the 2 of us saw it or the rest did but are keeping quiet.

is it a little unusual that the thread originator is also very quiet?
did we scare him away already?

I saw that - them even  all hanging on the wall in some gallery :D eww

I saw it too! The guy who did the whole thing had a weeny one so he was trying to make himself feel better by seeing if he could find anyone with a smaller one. I think there have been two programmes about it actually. Along with the woman who did one about female body hair  that was a bit freaky.

Forum Readers,

Hey must have 'touched' on a hot topic. Couldn't 'get hold' of the way this conversation was going....a bit 'limp'..:) :) It's really suprising that so many people have come up with comments about male genitalia, but damn you must be all scared of them. You have seen so many (supposedly) and only two of you have offered to take pictures of these dangly (not always) pieces of flesh. Interesting replies though..........

All the best

Marco
