I come from a TV background, where a lot of freelancers get work through agencies. These agencies tend to charge in two ways:
1/ They charge you a monthly fee to 'manage' your diary, and take bookings on your behalf. You then invoice the client for the full amount.
2/ No monthly charge, but they bill the client and you bill the agency for maybe 90% of the day rate (so they make 10%).
I used to work for an agency who worked as per 2/ and I made a lot of money through them (and they made a lot of money because of me) so everyone was happy
I've had a good Google around, and I can't really find a smiliar thing for stills photograph  Are there agencies out there? (I'm not talk about stock photos).
Would you join one if there was? :rules:
