I have been enquiring about a media pass for an athletics meeting in September. The event organiser has replied positivity, but has asked if I have a togs bib

Do you have a photographers bib?

If you do then please bring it with you and ask for me, **** ******, at the
officials entrance to the stadium - this will be marked

Now I don't have one as such I just use a plain high vis vest, I know one or too togs on the forums have had there own printed, and would like to ask what wording should be used.

Also should I have my logo printed on as well, or should I just not bother at all.

This is slightly odd ~ anyone can buy a bib and put it on.

Often, large events will give you their own bibs for you to wear (I used to have about 40 trackside F1 bibs, until my ex-wife burnt them all).

i've no experience of athletics, only motorsport, but i would interpret that as her asking if you already have one of the organisers bibs (that they probably give out when they give out season accreditation), and that they will mark off the event on the bib when you arrive.

just a guess, though

ex wife burnt them...... and i thought one of my exs was mad trying to run me over... geez women must be chicken oriental

I know they have not had season accreditation / bibs, but I think as the event will be the finals and they have a new sponsor who may attract TV, they may be trying to look a little more pro and upmarket.

When I wrote to enquire about accreditation, I did inform them that I had shot other championship events for canoeing and track cycling, they may think I have a bib from these events?, which I don't as they just gave out passes for hanging round your neck.

What I think they want is that when on the infield I can easily be identified from other officials and competitors.

You can borrow mine?

Please do look after it though!

Gary.

I've still got mine from the Sydny Olympics and Manchester Commonwealth Games, but I don't they'd look anything other than out of place at any other event. If you're stuck though, and more to the point if I can find them, you're more than welcome to borrow one from me for the event.
