Photographer Shamed

I have been asked by a band to take some pics 4 blokes 2 girls all abot 16! I made sure that i got consent forms from their parents. and i still had one objection and from a boys mother.
Even with final proof of the images she wouldnt budge and just said she doesnt trust photographers.

I must have missed the memo that said we were all pedophiles.

Shame!

i hope a bigger boy gets hold of him and shows him who is daddy :)

I have CRB'S coming out of my ear's enhanced ones at that

A freelance tog can't get a CRB, you can't get yourself checked although some photographic societies, etc. do offer it as a service. Another unfortunate issue with CRB's is that they are, to a degree, pointless as they only say something about a person's past, not their future. I'm not CRB'd and have worked with various schools, playgroups, etc. in my area, not one has asked about it.

but any tog taking picture's of my child would only be stood 2 feet away from me, for his/her own safety.

Whose safety, the child or the tog?

The original newspaper report, on the Isle of Wight where the offence took place, was a lot less sensationalist, I just can't find the link right now.

My main concern is he moved over to the UK because everyone on the IoW knew about the court case, and he kept working with Under 18s. This was a very very silly move, and is bound to be misconstrued.

It turns out the reason someone went to the newspaper here in the UK is that because the offender threatened him with legal action because he said he would inform the papers.

OK I see a flaw in this story.. there is no one on the Isle of White under 60 years old, let alone 16
:)

Then she's an idiot, and she's just spoiled it for her son. One day she might realise this, hopefully before she embarrasses the poor kid any more.

Hi you are right about CRB's in the future any one's guess but you can get CRB's if you are willing to pay for one,m i am lucky as the charity sponsor me, in the area i am in they will ask for CRB'S some councils or private ran playgroups may not.

and as for who's safety, i would treat them like i do my dads staffordshire bull terrier, i trust nether of them :)

Regards Mark
