After nearly 6 years of being with Sarah, I finally asked her to marry me at the weekend.
We're now looking around at wedding stuff (what have I done?!) and obviously a photographer is going to be a fairly key element of the day/evening.

I'd like to extend invitations to pro photographers to drop me a PM with their contact details, and links to portfolios/pricing so we can have a think about what we're after and what it's likely to cost. I know there's an awful lot of talent here on TP and I haven't even looked elsewhere!
We're probably going to end up somewhere in the Midlands between Oxford and Nottingham in a bid to keep most of the family happy, but nothing's been confirmed yet.

Although we're not yet sure of the location of the whole thing, there might be an opportunity for any locals to come along and have a go at taking some photos in the evening.
Obviously there's a limit on the number of people that can come, but once we've worked out where it's going to be I'd be happy to have a few people along to practise their photography if at all possible. Again, drop me a PM or a quick message on here to let me know if you're interested.

On a more serious note, I'd rather have my finger nails pulled off than shoot a wedding but I did want to stop in and say a HUGE congrats. :D:D

Congratulations to you both. Remember, it's YOUR day - if there's something that you're both agreed you want, then go for it and stuff what anyone else thinks! You're only going to do this once - the only people you should make compromises to keep happy are each other!

Whatever you do, don't post the location here! You'll have a sea of long lenses poking out of the hedges and the traditional reception punch up will be Canonites vs. Nikonians.

Congratulations to you both,
Friends were together for 12 years before they finally tied the knot.
The photographer at the reception was very discreat and took some great shots with the telephoto catching pictures of all the guests in relaxed moods.

Mark, a rough idea of date might be useful, even this year or next year? If it were nearer I would have dropped you a pm but I've only got one wedding slot left for this year as it is...

Sorry - it'll be next year, probably midway or in the latter half.
 
Congrats to you both and as a bloke who proposed (and was accepted) at Christmas, best of luck with the planning. We are on our 3rd wedding fair of the year this weekend......oh joy.
