Has anyone heard of studio heads called: Photodeals VS-120 ??
The Photodeals logo on looks like a puffy sticker that may be covering up the real brand.
I bought 2 that were advertised locally to me on eBay as 150w continuous lighting units for £30.
When I got them I saw they used E27 150w modelling lamps but then noticed the flash tubes that run around the outer edge of the modelling lamp. On the rear is a 5mm jack socket and in the box is a jack to PC sync lead so later I'll see if the tubes are good using a radio trigger.
My question is does anyone know the power of these flashes as they didn't come with instructions. I can't find any information on them at all online, nothing! and on the heads is no power settings? They do come though with nice reflectors on that unclip off, unsure of the mount, I'll post a pic up later on of that.
They came with Visico LS-8006 light stands that I did manage to find info on, see link: http://www.vistarfoto.com/en/products-1.asp?action=xx&id=447
These are a lot beefier than my current portaflash stands!
