Photobucket Compression of files?

Anyone else experienced this?

I've got some files (in my street photography thread) that are, on the net around the 40-50kb mark, but on the computer they're around the 200kb mark. I uploaded them directly to photobucket, so are they compressing files now?

Thoughts anyone?

have just had a look and yep all my files have been compressed to. quite a bit as well

Cool, not just me then. Will be switching to Flickr then

I've just checked about half of mine and they still match the size on my laptop.
Someone else raised this issue a while back though.

Strange, mine are all fine.

I had the same problem, before you upload your files have a look above the upload boxes and their is some text in grey writing with options highlighted in blue, click on the highlighted options then a image size box comes up. I picked 1 megabit files size and that solved my problem
