I am about to place an order with photobox for 9 x 34 page photobooks, usually I have a newsletter by now telling me of their offers of the month but I have received nowt as yet.....

My question is.....has anyone else got the April Newsletter yet?

yeah i got that one...not much use for photobooks hmmmm....

I was soooo close to ordering Matt...you have saved me £131.95!! I even ordered one extra so that Barry and I can keep a copy to add to our portfolio! The client wanted 9 copies....Thanks!!!
 
I’m interested in ordering some of these to offer wedding clients as an alternative to the traditional albums.

I was planning to order a couple from the cheaper manufactures like Photobox, obne opr two from the middle of the rode suppliers like Photovalue or Bags of Love and maybe a high end like Sim2000 or Graphie Studio.

One downside of the Photobox range is that they print their name on the back so a client can see where you got them and how much you paid!

I guess...I was going to get some little stickers made up to go on the back of the strut mounts we give away with the event pictures, but would they stick well enough to stay on? There was a supplier of these who have been going for years, but I cant remember who they are now!

I’m impressed with you getting an order for 9 Photobooks. Did you offer them a cheap price to get a take-up like this?
 
I charged the customer for the artwork and one book and gave her a price for a book on its own....

We print our own labels, get good ones cause the cheaper ones show the type underneath ;)
 
Just some personal feedback on the Photobox Photobooks.

I recently used these for my wedding/honeymoon photos & to be honest was disappointed - they are printed on "silky" paper & my shots lacked contrast, looked a little flat

I've since had exactly the same photos printed using "Bonusprint" who use glossy paper & the quality is much better

Just for the record I use Photobox normally for all my prints, including 30 x 20 inch enlargements & have always been very pleased with the quality - I just feel their photobooks aren't upto their normal standards

It’s a shame there isn’t an up to date review of the many Photobooks available as more and more companies are springing up with a wide range of products in all prices.

Presumably the pictures are on photographic paper so I guess would look different.

-- now the Poster offer is a great deal, I've received 6 30x20inch enlargements & the quality is excellent, bargain at £5 each !!

I agree Simon, I ordered a total of 8 prints and am very happy. The wife purchased a huge frame from IKEA today for one... I might even take a pic of it hanging there on our dining room wall :)
