Hi all

I am looking for some information on photo books.

If any body has any recommended sources I could check out I would apreciate it,


also, my worry is they are effectively a book, so is there any way to protect the pages so that they dont wear out too quickly?
 
I have used Photobox and Myphotobook for my photobooks.

Photobox are cometitively priced and I was pleased with mine.

Then I used Myphotobook and despite slow delivery the overall quality of the pages, the images and the whole book were far superior. Slightly more expensive but they often have offers for £12 off or thereabouts which makes them very reasonable. I will definitely use them again for my next photobook.

I got my first one from Photobox, good price & the pages were good quality but the cover was a little less 'quality' (it was the cardboard one with the hole cut out)

My second one came from Blurb, excellent quality all round, got one with a printed dust jacket, really pleased with that one & paid a little extra for the top quality paper, was about 30 dollars inc postage for abt 90 pages (7cm by 7cm I think)
 
Jessops also seems to do them. I've seen it at thier shops. Not sure if avail online.

What gets me is that in UK, these products take 1-2 weeks to deliver, but in the US you can get them in an hour if done at the shop.
 
I'm in the process of putting one together using blurbs software at the minute, it seems much more flexible than some of the online ones I've scene. It's going to cost a little extra but given the appaling quality control at photobox I won't be trusting them again and would rather get the right product first time.

Don't forget to pay for the postal service you want.

It is strange how some companies seem determined to destroy their credibility with the odd customer, whilst others never have an issue. I have had 6-8 photobox books and have been really pleased with all of them.

Another poster was talking about the service in US - I suspect that he is talking about Ritz. The quality of their books is pretty awful - the pages look like they have come out of an inkjet printer and are just clamped into the spine.
