Photo52 2012 : Join In !!! : Week 52 Busy

Hi from Scotland! I am on holiday for the week with Jon and the 2 pooches. Beautiful scenery!

I'm mad with myself for getting out of the 52 swing of things, not sure where time went. I want to catchup this week and use the surroundings i have at the moment. Could quite easily stay!

Hope everyone is doing well and keeping snapping :-)

PS. Sarah & Peter we need to meet up!!
 
Its stunning here. Sometimes forget to get the shot just due to enjoying the scenes so much!

I have some shots that meet the themes and still 3 days left.

Jon does have the camera but still struggling a bit to be inspired. Hopefully he'll get there :-)

Hi Alex, glad you're having a great time in Scotland. It would be great to meet up soon, I'm having an op on Thursday so not sure how long I'll be out of action for! (hopefully not too long!!:))

it's me , apologising AGAIN !

12hour days are killing me , just no energy in the evenings so falling well behind with comments & feedback and posting for Natural . I do have a cunning plan though :D 2 days off next week , forced to be at homeas got builders in SO WILL CATCH UP THEN AT THE LATEST :thumbs:

Off to bed now :wave:

Home tomorrow, got a few shots for the themes so Will work on catching up, though on Sunday we are dog sitting 2 extra dogs for 2 days so Will have to see how hectic that gets!

Will definitely be back to Scotland!

Off to take my 9mth nephew out for 2 or 3 hours... well my wife will have him I'll have my camera - here's hoping I can get Natural & Age on a trip to Sunny Great Yarmouth :D
 
Well that didn't go well .....

Parked in town centre carpark, Had Camera, Bag 70-200, Empty CF... perfect :)

Walked through town, up to Sea Front, right along seafront, found a perfect bench to catch passers by, sat down, took test shot seemed ok - Then my battery died... b****r... forgot to check battery and didn't switch my spare to my small rucksack :bang:

Crap !!!!

:lol: I had a similar incident for change when I forgot to put my CF card in my camera and hadn't put my spare in the bag either :bonk:

Gratifying to see that others sometimes act as dumb as I do. :nuts::D
 
I wouldn't mind but I've read the thread about 'give your best photographic tip' and in it someone says make sure you charge your batteries (DK) and always put an empty card back in your camera. I read that and thought what muppet would do that :whistling:
 
How many people ended up completing their Photo52s last year? I'm a bit surprised there's so many of us still in this thing with only 10 weeks to go. :clap:

I did :D and those that are still here will finish so :clap:

One thing I did last year was get a book reduced of my photographs. Can't recall who used but...I got carried away and forgot to put the theme names with the photographs :bonk:

Yup , I got a book made up as well, via a special order code from KGB deals. Can't recall if I put the theme names in or not ...probably not !


Andy's right though , seem to recall one person dropping out almost at the finishing post but vaguely remember about 8 or 10 of us crossing the line :clap:

I'm hoping it's gonna continue through next year as well cos weekends just wouldn't be the same with out a theme :D
 
OK, I'm losing the photographic will to live :help: I've either got no time or the weather is garbage :coat: Yet again I have fallen behind, theses last few months have been difficult! But I shall not give up. The sun is shining, if I can find a spot out of the gale force wind I'm hoping to do some catching up!

Well.... your not alone Marsha... I'm behind too, for a change :D

BUT I'm out with my camera for the whole day (Norfolk Coast To Coast Meet - Sunrise to sunset around the coast) so hope to get my back Natural and Age shots in the bag, and will probably text Peter as usual for this weeks theme and hopefully bag that too

OR does all this sound too much like wishful thinking :thinking:

I am lacking motivation just now! I dragged my camera around London for two hours yesterday with Iain (Blakester) and saw lots of things to snap, I took a few shots but probably should have taken more! Now I need time to edit/ sort what I took, dam work, Physio exercises, family life keep getting in the way!

I'm off to find my mojo this week, it's been on holiday for long enough now!

Your mojo will return Marsha, no doubt about it.
As I mentioned the other day, I have often taken my camera for a 'walk' and never took it out the bag.
Something will present itself and you will find the shot, then any talk of missing mojo will be a distant memory.
Who knows what tomorrows theme will bring :thinking:
Does anyone know Sarahs number to give her a call? :lol:

Hi all :wave:

well done to all still hanging on in here...downhill to the end from here on in :thumbs:

Struck me yesterday how we have such diverse images for one given theme , even when the same subject matter is chosen by 2 people , the resulting images are completely different . Dunno why I'm saying this , just felt the need to share :lol:

& for the 1st time in a long while I've not only caught up with commenting but posted the current weeks images as well :

Tanks to all for your comments & crit & ideas...all helps , & with this weeks images I really think I'm starting to learn...though I suspect at least one person ( you know who you are- ANDY) will still tell me I need to crop differently :lol:
