Week 40....SOOC ? You just know the theme will scream out for OTT PP don't you :D FWIW I think sharpening should be permitted , if you shoot RAW it's essential & if jPeg the camera does it for you . Plus if you get a shot thats superb you'll want it in good enough quality to print .

Just a mention...last week we've had some superb sunsets , not that I've had the time to get out & shoot any of them mind ! Tomorrow I really need a belting sunset.....whats the betting it ain't gonna happen :D

Duo Sounds a good one

Well for me, 3 steps forward 1 step back... is sort of catching up, going to do 2 or 3 hours of catch ups on comments and hopefully get some photo catch up inspiration :)

Have to try and sort a shot for TP Day 3012 as well :thinking:

I know that feeling Michael, I've slept on my little boys floor for the last two nights as he's been unwell, waking every half hour!

Today I have mostly been decorating my daughters birthday cake for her party tomorrow! Once that is done I'll be back to my photography and catching up, again! I got a duo shot done today but not decided yet if I like it!

Well done everyone for getting this far.

Thanks Michael, he only had an ulcer on his tongue but it was HUGE and the poor sod was in agony:(

It's glorious and sunny here with lovely blue skies, and we're off to an indoor play area :bonk:

Flow Hmmmm.... maybe I can get this one done this week-end for a change, but I have an idea that may suit during the week :thinking:

Nope....SOOC is fine...though I've got more chance of plaiting fog :lol: I just want a level playing field with those shooting jpeg...sharpening occurs in camera with jpegs so 'tis only fair to allow sharpening on RAW files :p

Can't you shoot in both?
 
I mean shoot both JPEG and RAW, I do. Then for this you can upload the JPEG for SOOC and keep the RAW for any other 'normal' PP. Or even upload both for comparison:thinking:

I like the idea of SOOC to give me a chance to actually do something 'properly' at the time of shooting instead of thinking "I'll straighten/ crop/ clone that later" But I also have a love for PP and how a dull shot can be made to look amazing!

Just noticed & signed up for a challenge posted up by yV.......sounds like the ideal solution for the SOOC idea someone had for week 40 (naming no names....:D)

The challenge is take some shots in a given week using only a disposable camera...get the film put on to disc & post up......surely that might be worth considering as it gets round the problem of jpeg/raw ?

I'm gonna give it a try anyway as sounds kinda fun....in a strange way :lol:

Disposable camera, oh bummer how can I take 400 shots in the hope of one decent one? :help:

Hang on a minute, I think I have some disposable camera's lying around from about 10 years ago that I never got developed, I wonder if they still work:thinking:

Sorry to all, had a few personal issues as well as work getting in the way so my 52 has dropped off a bit! But I'm hoping to get back on track over the next week. At work now killing time catching up on a few threads here and there.
 
are we still doing week 40 as sooc then? I'm confused :lol:
