Photo52 2012 : Join In !!! : Week 52 Busy

Guilty! - I just can't work up the enthusiasm for this anymore.
I find myself going along thinking, "I must get this week's photo" and it is taking away any pleasure in doing this project.
I think I need to just use my time in shooting the sort of thing that I enjoy shooting rather than just random.

Oh no Gramps is that you leaving us? I'm not rushing to fit the theme in on time just now, too busy with shift and child care. I get it done when I can!!! But I guess if you're not happy doing it any more then you have to call it a day :(
It was nice meeting you on Sunday, albeit briefly.

Dark - Dead easy?? A lot of my shots are dark, just need to pick the most appropriate.
 
Oh no! Sorry to hear that Gramps. You know where we are and when you feel like you need a theme for a week pop back :-)

I am struggling a bit at the mo. Work has sucked the energy out of me a bit. I do not know where the weeks are going. I am not giving up, just running behind. In fact let me go sort it out a bit now.

I have been trying to comment, the standard is great at the moment so credit and well done to all those posting.

Ooooh noooo..sorry to hear you're leaving us Gramps but no point in continuing if you ain't enjoying it . Hope you'll not be a stranger & look forward to seeing some shots of the stuff you enjoy taking :thumbs:

woohoo....just had a light bulb moment for Dark...as usual I suspect the idea & the final image will be 2 different things ...:-)

Is it just me or is giving crit becoming ever harder ? I feel that the standard of shots being posted is incredibly high so finding something to crit is taking some real hard work & feels like it's being really picky ?

Off the top of my head (there are loads to pick from but these 2 spring to mind), Marks mini shots , Sarahs Dark shot to name but 2, are examples of what I mean .

I'm starting to feel just a little mean & hard offering crit ...it's not intended that way but don't want to revert to just saying...good shot ...if ya see what I'm getting at :thinking:

I know what you mean Lynne about it beig more difficult to always find crit - it just shows how far we have all come though from the start!:) I have found though that I have become a lot more critical of my own work since I started the challenge!

Lynne I personally would refer you to be really picky as that is how I learn so keep up the good work!!:):)

Agreed, not had loads of time to look but what I have seen has been great. Some really stunning ideas and shots.

I hear ya. For me, I always try to leave balance feedback. All too often all over TP I see, "Great shot", "good shot", etc. Personally I'd rather they didn't "Do a Flickr". 'preciate time is a premium, but if you're going to post, post C&C.

My main concern, if you like, is when someone posts a cracker and I make several comments of a positive nature and then I see a minor issue which I feel I have to mention.

Just spent an hour on my dark and, well, epic fail. Not a problem, though, learned something and told Isabelle I need her assitance on Wednesday for my dark theme...she did a :exit:

We are doing well, quality is great. Just say what you think, we all have different ideas and may not always see things that would benefit from a change.

For myself, Andy and Lynne, this is our 84th week of doing a themed photo :eek::D:cuckoo::gag::) I think all those smilies are fitting to go with it!

But then, what will we do at the end of it......that is the question!

I started this project with the plan to do 2012/13 and a 365 in 2014 as I'll be out the RAF. At least next year I won't have a new job and sporting event to get in the way! More importantly I'll be doing photography courses care of the military :-D

Really? I can't tell you how nice it is to hear how well that shot was received, because it confirms for me that I can achieve what I see in my head, and that what I see can be worthwhile!

I agree commenting is becoming tough, but like others I'd still like honest crit please :)

63% of the Photo52 completed.

Come on people...stick with it :thumbs:
 
My dark's not in; first time I'll fail to do it in the week. Still committed though, and will have it done tomorrow.
 
Well... work's ubber manic is over (Always the same this time of year when a huge tender comes in), so now back to normal manic :D

I will start catching up on pics and Comments - Hopefully, well done guys who have managed to keep going

I must warn you though - they will be quick snaps with minimal effort !!!! (don't you dare say what i think your thinking) :suspect:
