Photo52 2011 - Join In !!! - Week 52 and special bonus out now -

Sadly there are no good ones of me and the wife, can't imagine why, so I'll have to think again for the 'pair' idea
But I thought I share with you my OH's first attempts at portrait photography from the weekend. Technically it's all wrong...........

......... my hair was a mess, my lippy was smudged and the full body wax didn't work

If one of the other guests snapped me while I was holding my camera, I'll be sure to post it in the Spotted a Togger thread

Try printing it out and putting it....
a) on the front door to keep cold callers away.
b) over the fire place to keep the children away
c) in your wallet for when the police ask for id!

Now, safe,

a) i'd be arrrested displaying offensive material..
b) you're not sharing that place with the mother in law..
c) i would not be tempting them to book me for the policeman's xmas ball as the cake girl...

Well, not long left now....:D

And, even though I haven't finished yet, I have to say...It's....

I've just started a new thread shameless plug and I must go to bed now because I can feel myself tarting to ramble.

Cheers.

Your at it again, getting our hopes up that the new theme is up .....gggrrrrrrr.

I might do another 52, but from a different direction, angle, lens, etc.

Now, go and shave that 'tash' off ;)

Isn't it a fine saturday morning...

Anyone thinking of taking up the 52 for next year .. then remember Yoda could not put it better himself ..

6 weeks and counting  ...

I'm definately going o do the 52 next year, I wasn't into the idea at first and didn't like the themes and couldn't think of any ideas, but after a while, I've found the whole experience very fulfilling and really enjoyed picking up my camera.

I started very late, and alot of my shots have been a bit rushed (still have some catching up to do) but it's still an excellent and fun way to practice with the camera and gain confidence.

I have to send a BIG THANKYOU TO SARAH for spending the time to organize the challenge. ( I also love that it's a personal challenge, not a competition)

Better get some more shots done this weekend.

Hi, Sam, "didn't like the themes and couldn't think of any ideas...", that's one of the main reasons I started the 52, to push my creative juices. It does kind of take over your life; you start looking everywhere for inspiration for the theme...not a good idea when driving or at work :gag:

I'd echo your thanks to Sarah  now where's week 46....:D

Id even admit my mojo has wained at times...now being another low point...

...oh..Andy I'm not doing it again am I???....

Thanks Sarah.

Only 6 more themes to select, and Sarah, don't think you can relax on Christmas Eve :nono:.
Some of us may have new toys to play with the following day :)

you getting a real camera for christmas then Neil.... oops.. :bonk: ..must kerb tongue...engage brain first before saying the obvious...:bang:

Thanks Sarah for posting the new theme .... omg I don't have any clue what to do for this one

Cheers

Dawn :)

It's scary how quickly this year has flown by!!!

For those of you interested, there are plenty more themes in the bag so there will definitely be a 2012 52 coming along.
I fully intend on joining in again next year. I've kind of missed it in 2011, but I needed that break and it's been an awful year with loads of work and personal stuff going on.

Well done to all of you who've made it this far - not much longer to go now

I'll do it again. It's been a blast...a partyyyyyy

I have just had an idea....now it might be the sea breeze that's sent me a little......:gag:

..but I thought, as a laugh, we could make a story using the weekly themes. Each sentence must contain the week's theme....in order hey were announced. The story should be logial, but not necessary sensible....

Could be a laugh, or not....

Anyway, I'm game...anyone else....??

Hiya Sarah, indeed time has flown by! Also a big well done from me to everyone else who has got this far, has been a great experience, I reckon I shall be starting all over again in the new year!:thumbs:

Our own story, or one story done by all of us, ie you do a line, I do the next line, Dawn does the one after that and so on?

The latter.

I'll await interest and link themes to the names of those interested.

 this is such a cool idea and I love everything about it!!!!

OK Andy as you suggested same ..... I volunteer you to go first!

Come on guys and gals .... let's produce a story that TP will never forget! :D (although I guess we have already done that )

All I can say is you have all been amazing support throughout the year ...... I'm almost tempted to do it again ..... but think I may need to take a break for a year to fine tune what it is I want from my photography.

So if Sarah wants to participate in next years 52 and wants to pass on the bag of tricks ..... I may consider taking on the role of the dreaded bearer each week  (that is if I am not stepping on toes ;)

I will however have my own personal projects on the go ......

One being my 365 .... which came to a drastic hold this year after some personal issues .... and one I may consider attempting again next year.

Although there are a few personal photo52 projects I am thinking of too.

But heyho ..... my photography will continue .... and I will keep a close eye on the 52 and 365 threads to offer support where I can.

This has been one of the most challenging, yet inspiring years for me and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who has supported and encouraged me throughout the year.

Only a few more weeks to go, so I hope this is not all premature ..... but I am here to see this to the end!

Thanks guys and gals for all your support .... luvz you all!

Cheers

Dawn :)
