Photo52 2011 - Join In !!! - Week 52 and special bonus out now -

Hi , I just noticed the question by Brad , thought you had to start at the begining of the year , so i would like to join in , if i can work out thow to do the links ect .

Hi there, each theme is posted on a saturday in the competitions, challenges and inspiration thread also there is a sticky thread titled photo52 2011 join in which has all the themes posted in the 1st post of the thread and where a lot of discussion of goes on in there too
You will need to create your own thread in Projects, Personal Challeneges and themes which has a check list of all the themes and who has done them.
Once you get used to where everything is, its all nice and easy. Look forward to seeing the new entries.

ALso is the spreadsheet of users set up by Dawn (Drodd)

Hiya Su,

You are welcome to join in at any time. You could always start now and continue with the 2012 Photo52 themes until you complete your personal 52.

Michael has pretty much covered how to get the ball rolling (thanks Michael).

Look forward to seeing your photos and good luck.

Cheers

Dawn :)

Hiya Brad,

You are welcome .... we are a great bunch of mad hatters  be warned though you may find yourself a bit :cuckoo: after a few weeks with us :p

You can start where you want .... but believe me the weeks don't get easier (if that is what you were hoping for ) .... now that would be a record if they did :D

Good luck, get that grey matter into action and lets see you posting some pics soon.

Cheers

Dawn :)

Hiya Sarah

Thank you for posting the new theme, now this is going to take some work as I am currently signed off work so will have to get my thinking cap on

Cheers

Dawn :)

Hiya James

I did think of you when this theme came up .... think of it as maybe a good sign ;)

Good luck with the job hunting

Cheers

Just got my Week 33 posted... ... sorry if anyone objects and cries foul ball .. but i used a camera... and it comprised of single shots...

confused..check my thread out.... ... just pushing those boundaries a little further....

so???? we've got to intentionally blur something...to induce the sense of movement perhaps? ...nice one...

BUT... i think this one will take some time for the perfect shot..

Hiya Sarah

Thank you for posting the new theme ..... (omg I should have an emoticon for this statement as I seem to say it every week .... .... but I do mean it) :)

I haven't even posted the photo for 'work' yet .... I am starting to slack here :help:.

Did take a photo on Sunday .... but was hoping to do another instead ... but time pressures I may go with the first one.

As for 'BLUR' .... I guess Adie and Mark are going to finally get to see a SOC photo from me :p I can be quite good at those :D

OMG just when I thought I was losing my mojo .... I went out this afternoon to the woodland and got some fantastic (well I hope so because I haven't uploaded them yet) photos of fungi ..... I'm well chuffed the fungi season has started. And then to top it off I managed to get some awesome sunset shots. So all in all a great few hours of togging today.

Hence why I will have to stick with my original photo of 'work' which I will upload during the course of the evening (which is in a way pretty much out of camera .... except for minor processing as one will see).

Anyway I better crack on and stop nattering here ... I have loads of work to do :D

Cheers

Dawn :)

Ooo christ, where has the time gone? I'm three weeks behind! Need to sort this out tomorrow as I'm off work this week! Can't actually go anywhere though as I'm waiting on deliveries over the next 3 days! I have a cunning plan *cackle*

Wow, not many left now...

Strange how some members who seem totally focused (:shake:) just drop off the face of the earth...

I stand here with open arms welcoming all back....

It's probably simple things like real life trampling all over stuff. I booked this week off work with the sole intention of playing guitar and doing photography stuff, even going to another area to stay while I try new things. My eyesight is causing me so much trouble at the moment, with massive headaches being the norm, that just picking up the camera is a pain (literally).

I personally find that the problem with forced subjects like the photo52 is that when subjects come up that are very baffling, and you're already behind, you're less inclined to catch up. This is true for me at least, especially when the things I think of will take a hell of a lot of effort in setting up.

I've now got 2 days left off before my return to work, haven't touched the guitar, so that's Sunday taken. I'm going to take my camera with me tomorrow morning when I've got my optician appointment, and will no doubt have glasses for the first time too!

I've got loads of stuff to do on top of that, including building a PC for my mum. I've no idea when I'll fit it all in, it's really annoying!

Good points...

I wore glasses for a few years then decided to get laser eye surgery....freekin miracle....

Hiya Andy.....

:hug2:

Don't worry, I guess this happens every year. People start out all enthusiastic, but as time moves on, life journeys on its own direction for each.

One can never know which direction they will go .... but I am still here, despite not being very well (and I don't like to harp on about same), but I really have not been in best health of late .... but I am receiving treatment now and hopeful that I will get better soon.

I try to maintain the support I have since the start of this project .... and always pop past to see how folk are doing.

Andy .... you are an ace part of this Photo52 team, and a true inspiration to us all.

Hugs

Dawn :)

Thanks guys .... you are both fab!

I have had a very tough week, and mum has allowed me 'visitation' rights tonight

Hopefully I will be able to get my 'blur' photos uploaded tonight, if this internet connection doesn't keep bombing out! :bang:

Cheers

Dawn :)

Hiya Dawn, sorry to hear you have not been well. Hope you are feeling better very soon. I look forward to seeing your interpretations of blur.
Once again Dawn and this is for everyone else out there thankyou for the continued support throughout this project. Very much appreciated and it is a big part of me making it this far.
I cant believe we are due week 36 tomorrow! It only seems like yesterday blur was announced! Got a busy day tomorrow taking Caitlin on a surprise trip out for as it is her birthday on the 7th.

Hiya Michael,

Thanks, I am trying to get my head around posting 'blur' tonight .... but my head is a bit of a 'blur' at the moment ..... wish I could take a photo of same ... it would be very apt for this theme

Anywayz I am here tonight in another world, struggling with my demons, and trying to decide which photos to post. I showed my mum a few earlier and she is convinced I have lost the plot  ..... but then what is new :D

Maybe I need to go for a short walk around the block and then buckle down to posting my 'blur'.

Cheers

Dawn :)

Sad I know but...:whistling: :D

I haven't been sat here waiting for this week's theme......

1. spent a few hours in a field with my camera
2. cleaned the bathroom
3. started the washing
4. went to gym
5. uploaded my photographs
5b. deleted most of my photographs
6. growled
7. sat here waiting for the next theme....

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for posting the new theme. Now to find some time to capture 'time'.

Cheers

Dawn :)

Thought I'd be the first to notice new theme, but appears I wasn't the only one awaiting the ping of an email alert...:shake:

Cheers.....

Hi 52'ers

I've just posted a few things in the Flickr group but will post them here to, as it seems slow over there.

j.fordham says:

Hey,

It's a shame not everyone is posting the photos into the group, might have to do a bit of promo :)

Also could we put the rules on the first group page?

j.fordham says:

Sorry me again, can we not get the group name in the URL? It might make it easier to find and link to?

... i know i still have TIME to take my time shot... but i am excited about the new theme...

..now have i been naughty for those who get this elusive email notification ... i'll be back.. >:)

As I recall the Flickr group was just a way for A N Member  to collate make a slideshow from them??

Cheers.

A N Member?

That's what I thought it was mainly for.
We should still be posting in TP for comments etc.

I think you've missed the point, even if it's just a place for a slideshow people still need to add them to it.

I'm not say we should use the group and not TP in fact i wouldn't want to do that, the feedback on TP is great and very useful. I do find it much better for see everyone's weekly submissions though.

I'm just saying if people are using Flickr to host the photo's it doesn't take much to add them to the group, but as it is the group doesn't have a good URL to point people to.

The same goes for the spreadsheet, people don't keep it up to date.

Could be Neil:thinking:

I'd agree, but it's their choice to add or not to add.

I see your point, but I never view via the Flickr group.

I do, but again, its's a choice thing.

Ditto above.
