Edit My Images
No
Hi,

I need to upload some photos from a shoot I did the other day so the clients can view them. Are there any websites that allow me to do this without them being able to download them as I want them to buy the images. My website is still under construction so that is not a possibility right now. Also need to allow for fairly high res images, don't want them looking pants.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Graham

Dropbox does a gallery, and I think you can disable the download, check it out anyway.
Alternatively if you have some web space and use Lightroom, you can create a gallery with that.

Remember a big intrusive watermark as there is always the option to screen print. Plus anything on a web page is automatically saved to the computer anyway when it's cached :)

Can't be done. If they can see them they already have them. There are various methods to defeat image theft, but none of them can defeat a determined thief.

The ONLY thing you can do, as has been stated, is a big watermark. Make it pretty transparent, but make it big.

As a service, I'd recommend Skydrive all day long. By default it produces great slideshows, is really easy to use, and you don't actually have to manually upload anything.

Just install, and sync a folder. Then, whenever you put something into the folder it automatically uploads it.

Folder structure is preserved too, and individual folders can have individual permissions, and can be shared in a variety of ways.

Skydrive doesn't seem to get much of a mention on here but I regard it as a brilliant service. It's free for 7 Gigs of data, and as it's a Microsoft product it's unlikely to be gone tomorrow.

I will look into skydrive, that sounds really good. Thanks for all the help. A big old watermark is what I currently use but if I could use a service that doesn't allow to download then that would be great. I know that if people really want it they will get it but as this is for business I will hope they wont be looking to steal the images. Haha. Thanks again for all the advice, it is much appreciated.
