anyone can recommend me a stitching software other than photoshop please?

photoshop isn't working for me at the moment. not entirely sure why. so want to try another software.

i think my problem is the photos have slight distortion and thus photoshop has a hard time identifying the common features, so are any of the above works?

Hugin corrects for lens distortion (as long as you correctly specify the focal length and multiplier) - and also allows you to manually match features if the automatic matching fails.

trying out the hugin, looks very good indeed, thanks

I have Autopano and it works pretty well for me.

I use ArcSoft Panorama maker - came free with a scanner or printer and does a good enough job for my needs.

i have used one...autostitch...
it will do the job but your joins have to be pretty good
you will get some distortion and in converging verticals..(i did) and lose bits of the making up shots in large areas of black top and bottom
i have had medium success but dont do a lot really

be good to see your results and wish you well ..a good pano is remarkable
i saw one of a castle done in around 24 shots taken on zoom lens

I've used the trial version of Arcsoft Panorama Maker 4 with great success, but am reluctant to buy the full version as it can only do 4x4 grids, which is pritty poor. I'm currently playing around with Hugin and getting very confused!

Autopan is great, minimal fuss and max effect, excellent. thanks guys, also testing my siggie

it is CS4, it just can't cope with the lens distortion that's all.

autopan does it just fine

i use autostitch...its a free download and works fairly well

^^ cheddar gorge? :)
