photo slide show from nas drive

Hi all,
Does anyone know of a way to display my photo library (which is on my NAS drive) as a slideshow on my Ipad?
Bit of a mouthful i know! but i'd like to do this without loading all my photos onto the Ipad. Maybe there is a good trick for this??

I don't think you can.


You can via photo stream, so if you install the app on your PC, you can put whatever photos in the photo stream and they would appear on the iPad screensaver

depends on the nas.. if its a synology I think you can do it via the nas apps.

Have a quick check, I seem to remember there is either a time or size limit.

1000 pics I think - should be enough!

I know your request is now quite old I was searching for the exact same app as you recently and I made it myself.
The app, called Pixette streams directly all your Pictures and Movies from your NAS via WebDAV protocol.
It works on iOS (9.3.5+) and iPadOS which let you reuse your old devices and convert them into a nice picture frame.

You will easily find the app in the official Apple App Store.
