Yes
we have used photobox for some time now , but over the last few months have started to use a company called loxley .
they cost a little more than photobox , but a test done the other day was very helpful .
we sent the same photo`s to both .
the loxley photo`s looked sharper . has anyone else ever used them
i have to say the turnaround time is as good as photo box

I use Loxleycolour, and they are superb, I ordered some prints from Photobox and I was utterly disappointed with them.
Because they are a Pro-LAB they tend to replicate colours/sharpeness, everything better. And they wont just let any rif-raf print their holiday snaps [unless your already registered of course :p]
The age old saying, you get what you pay for.

i think photo box have gone down hill . the paper loxley use seems better.
and if there is a problem they give you a call .
as you say you get what you pay for . the thing is it aint much more .

i will only use photobox for 6x4 samples now before printing bigger i.e to canvas .

I had an issue with Loxley, the first time ever, some images got lost in the post. I contacted them, they sent them out next day delivery, special delivery. And I opened the Box...and two images were in of each print. :D
And....the other box turned up on the same day, that had taken over a week to get here.
Blooming Royal Mail!

I generally find loxely to be good, def better than photobox.

I would also consider ProAm, they are cheaper than loxley if printing a few images (postage is £5 compared to £3.50 at loxley). You do need to put a bit more time in to the actual pp but this can be set as an action in photoshop. I personally prefere the prints and paper from ProAm.
