There’s a guy on one of the Facebook photo groups that I’m in who has been given a whole load of glass plate negatives from the Kate 1800’s and early 1900’s. They are all scenes from around Oakland California, and cover a wide range of subjects from prison work groups with armed guards to president Roosevelt visit to Oakland in 1903.
Di a Facebook search, his name is Mike Ahmadi and he now has a page devoted to the find called In Howard’s Barn.
many way if you like to see old images brought back to life I can thoroughly recommend latching one to this. I know Oakland is a long way away but I find these fascinating.
