Hello. I recently ordered some A3 from a professional company but I now need just a few smaller prints. The postage is £3 and I only need 2 photos at 8 x 6.

I have a Epson printer but I have tried photo paper before and it won't seem to go through the printer. It takes a small amount of paper then spits it back out and says its out of paper.

Any recommendations for photo paper?

If its family prints I just buy a pack of 6*4 paper from Asda.

I have found it depends on he quality! A customer who I'd quoted £90 for the canvas said she could get it done for under a tenner, I got the details of the company and thought I'd see what I got, it's a disgrace, ink peeling, banding, dots, weak colours, you get the drift! I emailed her to see what she thought of her canvas (twice) it seems at this point she has no comment! I stick with Loxleys and I kept my under a tenner canvas to show customers why I charge £90 :)

Its a little depressing going in to cheap shops and they have canvas's for £20 for a very large one and I couldn't even get one made for that never mind earn something from it.

Someone I know decided to go down the cheap as chips canvas printing.
He ended up in a small factory unit with five Canon printers (2x44" and 3x24") He also had a 60" Epson printer for massive banners.

His prices were unbelievably cheap and the work came flooding in. It was only a matter of time though that he was losing money and he is now on the dole after only 18 months.

TBF they are not expensive to make - the most expensive part is the stretcher bars. I can make a 16x10 canvas for £6.
