I need want to send photographs to magazines that do not have FTP set up.So I am at the moment emailing the photos to them.I would like to send direct from photo mechanics as it has an email set up.But how do I set it up to send from my email Mail.com or yahooo mail accounts. When I click on the email tabs in PM it takes me to the default Outlook Express email account which is no good because the SMTP servers will not allow emails to be sent away from home?

No way around that. Photo Mechanic needs a client to work with.

I believe Windows users can use a small application called Affixa to act as a go between PM and webmail.

I have no experience and no further knowledge of this (I don't use Windows), but understand people have been using this solution for Gmail etc.

Pop over to Camera Bits' support forum and do a search.

I'd be interested to know if Tony's correct on this, as I too like Mark thought it required a client!,
why is it important for you not to just save the images to a file on the desktop from PM & just email them from there?.
you can create a series of drafts in most web based email address & just upload them to each, (your client will know the maximum allowed per email?), as required from your desktop?

I will try Affixa later in the week.I can do the system of saving photos to files on the desk top but it is a little more work.I would like the ability to go straight from PM in certain circumstances.:)
