Personally I have always enjoy Practical Photography the most. I dont really read the mags anymore though, too little in there interests me because they regurgitate the same thing over an over. The only reason to buy now is for the photos themselves and the interviews and sometimes that is worth it.
i know what you mean alex i am into landrovers and usually bought all 4 LR mags but stopped awhile ago due to the same articles appearing in each mag over say a 3 month period not good value for money.
i find lots more info on the net than any mag can give however you beat reading a mag with a coffee
I second digital photo, by far the best I have read. Most mags are good for photography tutorials or photoshop CDs, this is the only one I have found that is good for both.
I subscribe to Professional Photographer. I also pop into Borders every now and again. They have by far the largest selection of photography magazines and I will pick up any that have any features of interest to me. Picked up a copy of Digital Camera the other day as it has a good section on B&W (As kindly recommended by mak1 on here. )
Too many. DSLR User, SLR Photography, PM, PP and various others every now and again. I have a lot of time sitting around in vans, so it gives me something interesting to do!
I subscribe to Amateur Photographer. It's recently been revamped and I like the balance they have achieved between photographs, photographers, kit and technique.
I subscribe to AP, Digital Photo and Practical Photography.
Buy others occasionally as well!
If you buy the Christmas 2008 issue of Outdoor Photography in Sainsburys at moment you get a free copy of Black & White Photography magazine included as well in a special pack.
I subscribe to Practical Photography and DSLR User, I also buy Photography Monthly every month, I will occassionally buy other mags if they contain any interesting articles
I have a subscription to AP, but sometimes buy others inc. Professional Photographer. I used to subscribe to that until they changed it some years ago (anyone remember 'Ramblecrap'?). Sometimes buy Practical Photography or the out door one. My mate buys What Digital Camera so I often get to read that as well.
I rushed in to subscibing to Digital Camera Magazine and now regret it.........as i found some of the other mags are more geared to my level of experience!
