Just a quick question.I've seen on here some photo's that have had their backgrounds changed for e.g, a picture of a car that is in a field, then the background is changed for a beach, how is this done and what software do i need.
Photoshop.. most versions will do what you want.. Photoshop CS3 is the latest version although CS4 is just being released.
This software is very expensive mind. £400-£500 I think for the full version, but I could be wrong?? Photoshop Elements is a 'cut down' version that is a lot cheaper.
There is also some free software out there but I'm not sure of any names.
YouTube has a great selection of video tutorials for Photoshop. Worth a look.
Ok thanks for the reply's.I've seen something in photobucket about layers but when i click on it nothing happens,it may have something to do with it being the standard edition so i will have to upgrade.I don't think i'm ready to justify £400 for a programme at the moment though.
You could spend money on Photoshop. But that would be stupid.
Try downloading The Gimp and having a play around with that. It'll do most of the things you want it to and loads of things you wouldn't even know were possible. And best of all it's free.
There's a few handy links in the Sticky at the top of the page for various useful Gimp-related goodies.
Photoplus X2 is about 40 quid and does most of the things photoshop does, it also has a prety similar looking interface.
TBH, think very carefully about what you go for. If you learn a certain program you are almost guaranteed to stick with it as they do take a bit of time to get to grips with.
I am a photoshop dude through and through, if you go this route try picking up a copy of PS Elements, don't worry about the newest versions as they just have loads of auto functions that are pretty pointless. You should get PSE 4 or 5 for very little.
