Photo distortion in lightroom

I have just ordered a Nikon 16-35 f4 VR lens and am fully aware that the lens suffers from distortion at 16mm, in anticipation of this can anyone tell me how or in deed if this can be corrected in lightroom?

This is perfectly possible (within limits) in Lightroom 3, and quite simple if you shoot in RAW.

Or shoot a grid, hand adjust the distortion out in Photoshop, save off the distort matrix to use on other shots.

There's very few lenses, if any, that won't distort one way or another. Although I had a tri-elmar that came close to heaven.

I've never really bothered trying to correct them except where I'm working on movie plates, it doesn't really bother me that much.
