Hi,

My wife has since a few years back been running a successful interior design blog and Instagram account. She uses our Sony a7 and is familiar with the basic functionalities. She's far from a beginner but she wants to improve her compositions even more.

I'm thinking about surprising her on her birthday with a "photo-coach" and I'm looking for the following:
- Someone who, via Skype, could give her tips, suggestions, feedback and challenges on her pictures
- Primarily focus on composition and how to shoot interesting home interior pictures, perhaps some focus on houses/cities as well. Less about camera technicalities. Perhaps some help with editing in Lightroom
- I'm thinking about 5-10 hours, hourly price around £50-120

Thanks,

Henrik

YouTube is great but it won't give you any feedback on pictures you've taken and suggestions for how you can improve

This forum has a critique section with lots of willing participants to tell you what you've done right or wrong.

I've never come across anyone that does tuition over Skype and I'm a little unsure how that would work, in particular with teaching composition.

You'd be better off with one to one tuition out in the field.

I have to agree with Elliott: a combination of the free tutorials on YouTube and uploading your pictures to the critique section here would be a most cost effective, tried & tested means of improving skills remotely, which I can't imagine live tutorials on Skype could improve upon. The next step up from that approach would be one-to-one in-person tuition.
