Hi Folks,

Am needing some advice from all you oracles out there lol. I use PSE 7, when I print my photos I prefer to use the standard 3:2 ratio (6x4, 7x9, inch for example). When I use my crop tool on Elements 7 the photo ratio is different. Is it possible to change this preset ratio to my preferred setting and ho do I do it.

Thank you

Nevyn

I don't know about ps7 but in PS CS2
(Do a save as on the original photo or the change will be permanent)
you select the crop tool
Then click on the little black arrow by the crop tool at the top of the screen and you will get a drop down menu that lets you set a crop ratio.

Agree with Terrywoodenpic and as I recall you can also create/define and save your own crop criteria

With PSE7, select the crop tool, then at the top of the screen you will see the 'Aspect Ratio'. Click the drop down menu and you can select either a pre set ratio/size, or select 'no restriction. Next to this you can type in the actual size you wish, and you can reverse the dimensions, ie. 6 x 4 or 4 x 6.
As far as I know there isnt a function in Elements to save your own sizes, but if you set a size as described above, it will be the default size until you change it next time.
Hope this helps.
