Hi mark

Have you tried a full reset on your phone to see if that cures your problem with it ?

I'm in a similar position of thinking of an upgrade (although having no problems at all with current phone) - the iPhone 5 didn't really do it for me so I've decided to wait and see what the iPhone 6 is like as (rumours I know) its supposed to be a big jump up to compete with Samsungs latest offering.

A couple at work have the S3 and love it, I was worried it was a bit big to make calls on, but they say you get used to it very quickly and the bigger screen makes Internet stuff easier...

I feel for you. Spent ages humming and hahhhing over what phone to upgrade when my contract ran out recently. Mrs Z has an iPhone 4 and I have an iPad and the logicval step was the iPhone 5 but was put off by the upfront cost and the monthly payments. The 4 was no upfront cost but I felt it was getting on and would soon be 2 models out of date.

I could get the Galaxy 3 with no cost and reasonable monthly charges - the screen does take some getting used to but is brilliant for web-browsing and after a bit of a play with one signed up for that. You could use the speaker phone to make calls rather than hold it.

I recently upgraded to the Samsung galaxy s4 from the s2. It's excellent, really fast and the screen is exceptional. The note is much larger but you do get the stylus with it which is meant to work well

Recently got myself a 2nd hand S3 and I'm relatively pleased with it, compared to my HTC sensation it doesn't feel quite as 'sturdy' though which I tend to like in a phone as I have a tendancy to drop the bloody things.

I have just got a note 2, it is bloody excellent. One of the reasons I got it was for the larger screen, staying away a fair bit for work meant that I could download a coupe of films to it a nd watch them while I am away. I haven't found any problems with the size of it at all.

Galaxy Note 2 for me, best smartphone I have had and I love the S pen but even if I never used the S pen it would still be a great phone..

at first the 5.5in screen smacks you in the face and as a 'phone' it is overkill, but for everything else it be awesome.

Same here, best phone I have ever had.

I had iPhones from day 1 but grew disillusioned at the lack of progress of IOS from a usability POV.

I made a jump to a Windows Phone 8 with an HTC 8X last November and haven't looked back. it's a wonderfully intuitive interface with clever linking of related data via hubs. I read the "new" IOS7 has taken some cues from WP8 ...

Oh, and it does help that I use W8/Office 365/SkyDrive etc. for business and personal stuff. If you are more on the Google side of the fence then some of the integrations may not run so deep for you.

Leaning more and more to the note 2 tbh seen few reviews on it and it looks amazing but never used a android type phone what are the main difference apps I mainly use are ps /what's app /what is the battery life like can I transfer my music from iPhone to the note what's the memory like only have 4gig atm I could go into the shop and ask but would rather have first hand accounts if I'm honest .

I have had my note 2 for about a month and it is simply the best phone I have had. Came from a galaxy s2 so was used to Android. I am a baby just and very a day out ofthe battery. Have also had iphones and wouldn't go back to them.

The nice thing with the note 2 is it has micro sd slot so memory isn't a problem. I have films on mine so I can watch when I am sick in hotel rooms. You very soon become used to the size. I haven't regretted the upgrade one bit since I got mine.

Had a htc one x had 4 replacements then t mobile changed it to a s3 dislike it so much. But like the Android system. I must admit some of the features on the Samsung s3 are quite cool but the phone over all not my cup of tea.

I upgraded from a Galaxy S to a Galaxy S3 in November, really love the phone, it's blindingly fast even in "power save" mode which eeks a little more life out of the battery by cutting CPU speed.

Whilst the S4 is also a good phone, I've heard that people who upgraded from the S3 were a little disappointed as there isn't really much difference bar a few features that you can most probably live without.

Know a few people with Galaxy Notes and they have nothing but praise for them too.

I have a Galaxy S2 and upgraded a month ago to the S4.

Both great phones but after 2 weeks I dug out my S2 and am back using it. Was not as comfortable with the new version.

The S4 is being used by my youngest son as his IPhone 5 keeps breaking down so he is in "discussion" with Three anout getting a permanent swap to an S4.

What it comes doen to is my S2 does pretty much everything I need and linked to the Three network it does it all on the move.

My business phone is a Blackberry. With BBM being ported to the wider Smartphone market I will certainly have the best of all worlds! (Remembering the need for your Android phone will need ICS running for BBM).

In essence more frirnds and colleagues are moving to the Galaxy platform than other models).
