Unless it has been modified by the phone manufacturer/phone network, in which case it does it their way. My Sony Ericsson Xperia (on Orange) is less customisable than my iPhone (without invalidating the warranty on either device).

You have totally missed the point of what I was saying

My company develops for iOS, Android, WebOS and BB OS. As BB doesn't do two way imap sync without your own BES server that was out immediately as I don't use Exchange. In the last year I've had a Galaxy S, Desire HD, Palm Pre 2 but my daily use phone is till the 'boring' looking iPhone 4. To me a lot of the widgets and stuff is lipstick on a pig, looks nice but doesn't really add much besides being able to tinker. I really like the detail of the integration and stability and quality control of the software on iOS.

But ultimately it is anyones personal choice.

I do like iTunes also (yes I know booh ;)) and was easily able to sync and integrate with all those device (and also the car audio system of my Audi). Having smart play lists is brilliant imo and automatically manage the music without me having to move files around on the file system. That is so 90's, meta data is the key who cares where it is stored :)

I get to play with most phones as part of (one of) my businesses. Android based kit is OK - and Samsung is fairly good at the mo but this hasn't always been the case. My preference is for iPhones and by a long way.

I've stopped 'playing' with blackberries. They are now dinosaurs when compared to iPhones. There, I've said it.

Don't do anything rash just yet. Wait for the new iPhones to be released very soon. I reckon on an iPhone 4Plus and an iPhone 5. Then look for second-hand iPhone 4s for sale on here ;)
