Have managed to break the pins on the sim reader of my LG G3 phone.

These can be replaced and there are companies on the 'net offering this service.

Am a bit wary of sending off my £400 phone to who knows where so wondered if anybody here can recommend a repairer please ??

Every high street I've ever been in has a phone repair shop. I've used a couple of them in my own town before now and they have always been great. There's usually a 19 year old Indian guy at the back talking on 2 phones in 3 different languages while soldering an iPad and advising customers on what case fits their 15 year old Nokia. I'd trust them more than giving my phone to any courier (Royal Mail stole the last one).
 
I have used MPRC (Mobile Phone Repair Company) based in Newcastle Under Lyme, several times in the past, without any problems, would use them again if needed.
