Woohoo new camera!! Excellent news Phil

I know, hoping this one behaves well.

another nice shot with your phone , I'm sure you will enjoy your new camera bud

Cheers Vince

I think that works well, I'm amazing that your finding so many amazing blooms at this time of the year

Had planned on snowdrops today Matt but didnt get finished work until after dark. Maybe tomorrow:)

Ooh, nice flower shot there - love that lower water droplet as well! :) There's a nice kind of soft feel to that which works very nicely.

Today's is merely you taunting me with the fact you have more lenses than I do, so you get a -50 for that!

Good news on your camera!

Oh dear :( feeling for you Phil .... dont know what I would do without mine now
Wont be long though :D

That kind of nice soft feel that you mention is poor focus as I stand and shake with my phone. Not the look I was going for!
As for today's, all the gear, no idea, comes to mind:lol:

Philip, stick with it - you're doing great, just keep those photos coming. I find with my phone photos they need plenty of light but no reason not to be creative ;) You will look back on this time in a year and remember it fondly - I promise :exit:

 All the gear, but for the most important bit - still hopefully not long now.

Awwww bless!... not long to wait now.... i wish my bag had more stuff like that in it lol:thumbs:

Day 25. Quick snap on my phone of my 20 month nephew Toby. He got his hair cut today and had to get wax in it. Made me laugh. Going to have to spend a while getting a few proper shots with him and his older brother Alfie when I get the camera back.

Very dudey hair cut - he is a stunner :)

Thanks guys, him and his brother make me laugh endlessly.

Day 26. Spent a while today trying to get my own garden into shape. Loads of snowdrops out so here isca couple. Fed up now trying to get a phone to take shots that it never was meant to do and I hate the lack of control. Ready to give up on this challenge, hate putting up clearly rubbish shots.

Oh, Phil, Phil, Phil, you are being a man-boy now so Mummy will pat you on the head and make it better.....call this your docu-week of shots as seen, then start a little advent calendar so you can count down the days til your camera arrives and then REVEL in being back up and running!:hug:

Now, those water drops on that middle flower are great, the background shows that battle of 'new shoots' against somewhat harsh conditions and the overall feel of this is not bad at all - makes me think of gardeners finally seeing their gardens start to come back to life again. :)

Phil that is a wonderful shot - I love the snowdrops and the waterdroplets ..... won't be long till your new one is here and then you can get back to normal :D

Thanks ladies.
Sam, you are almost funny ;)

Toby looks like butter wouldn't melt ;) I bet that's not true not if he's anything like my youngest nephew, the camera gear looks so forlorn :( I do think that the water drops really makes that snow drop photo for me

Cheers Matt.
Off to the mountains now, will see if I can get at least 1 decent shot with my phone or compact for today.

Phil

Those drops are pin sharp and you've got a very narrow DoF with that phone of yours. I think that's a really good shot and no idea what you are complaining about :)

Thanks VInce ame TIm. I just want my camera back and am now starting to scream and stamp my feet like a petulant child!

Then there is todays shot!!... perfect... ( it is nice to see someone else doing this and not just me)!

Anyway don't give up.... you can't! it's not allowed...... ever! not a chance!

or you will have all of us having screaming hissy fits!... and we will get your wife to join in too :D

Day 27 I was out today in the mountains with a local hiking club, covered 11 miles in rain, hail and snow. Only got a few quick shots as it was so wet and everyone kept walking on without me. Even though this is another one with a compact that I am not happy with, I have spotted a good few places that I want to revisit on my own on a better day with more time and the proper equipment.

There is a NI Walking Photography group (you may already know about it but in case not). All the walks have time to take photos as part of the walk - no rushing on ahead without people. (Not managed to make any of their walks myself yet.)

That is a lovely shot Phil even if you arent happy with it .... I know I would be :)
