Curious as to what pets, if any, everyone has owned...and currently owns?


I have owned praying mantises, gerbils, rabbits, hamsters, tropical fish, cats, budgie and I now own a tarantula.

I would love to have a chamelion.
 
I will start with the most bizarre and work my way down to current family of pets.


1: 14 cockateils and 12 budgies, all without a door on their aviary. Swings on windows, perches on walls. Was ace. Then my son was born and I donated the whole setup to a nursing home.


2: Umbrella Cockatoo, and African Grey Parrot. Too was donated to a bird Zoo, the Grey is now with my mum.

3: Several fish tanks, with different setups at one point or another. I had Lake Milawi cichlids, 20 of them in a 5ft by 2ft by 2ft tank. A godfather emerged and wiped the rest out, over 6 months. Tank currently empty.

I now have 3 cats and a dog,

i have a dog, some fish and an ex-girlfriend, so 2 dogs really :P
 
I own two jack russels, One 2 years and the other is 10 (i think)

The youngest is a nutter

have always had dogs apart from one cat when i was young
 
I have an English Springer (Lady) and a Red Lored Amazon parrot (Harvey).

I used to have 3 chamelions when I was a kid. My dad was in the forces and we lived in Africa at the time.

I used to just bring them indoors having found them in bushes etc. My 3 lived mostly on the lounge curtains. Fantastic how they change colour, I was told, as a child, that if you put them on something red - they exploded! I didn't try obviously - no I really didn't!

Amazing to watch them shoot flies down with their tongues too.

in the past i've owned a horse, hamsters, fish, cats

Nothing but dogs, big scary ones to protect me when i go shooting in moss side ;)

I always thought that was tartan :D

Past pets far too many to mention
right now
2 dogs one pointer ( working) one lucher
( doesn't have the brains to work but hes bloody quick!)
3 ferrets
2 horses
1 Boa constrictor
 
3 Horses
4 Cats

I'm usually 8th in line for anything...
 
currently one rat(down from 9 as theyre expiring from old age ) one alsatian /husky cross , one staffy/doberman cross.
two teenagers.
two rabbits and a ginea(sp) pig.two cockateels .
and a HUGE house spider about two inches across, called horris.

no pets, other than the odd housespider, no plans to have any either

we have 4 siberian huskies a chow chow, 4 royal pythons & 3 bearded dragons :D
 
my ginger cat who still lives at my parents, he used to be horrible used to snap at you if you got close, until they got 2 kittens, hes now polite and lovable and always friendly, his only fault is trying to trip my dad up everywhere he walks.

one of the 2 kittens (although they aint kittens anymore, shes always been crazy but she was hit by a car about 2 months back and suffered a smashed paw and a broken tail but apart from a bit of a limp, and a wonkey tail shes right as rain, very difficult to photograph, she seems scared of cameras.

me and suzie have decided that once the house is finished we will get a kitten to keep her company when im away :)
 
Don't own any pets myself (do children count ?) but Minigub was the proud owner of this hamster.

He is now in the process of taming two Degu's , photos to follow (even if I have to nail the ***** down :D)
 
Hehe, shall try and get a pic of my tarantula once I have the Canon here.
I have no name as I see no point...one tarantula of a breed, is pretty much like another.
 
we have a Cav called mollie who's nuts,barks at every animal on the TV and could sleep 22 hours a day.

We just have Gretal the hamster left now. She's not friendly.:(

In the past I've had a rabbit called Barney when I was young.
Also Hamsters: Mabel, Scooby and Esme.
Cat: Ginger
And I shared Flojo, a beautiful red Stafford, with my ex.

Well I have a whole petting zoo I have:

11 Rats
3 Rabbits
6 Egyptian Spiny Mice

I have two snakes, a gecko and a white German shepherd.
I would get more reptiles if i could...
