Yes
Trump is trying to expand his golf course in Aberdeenshire. As usual, he tried to back down from promises he had made to protect the environment and improve the local community.
He wants to pollute the local environment by not connecting to the sewage network - it's cheaper, more profitable not to! - and this in an area of unspoilt wilderness.

He can be stopped:

I remember the first time around, the man is nothing but a nasty bully boy with no concern for anybody or the environment

In all seriousness, has one of these petitions ever achieved anything, other than a cursory parliamentary discussion?

One thing is certain if you don't do anything then nothing will happen. I hear that sort of thing from people all the time "it won't make any difference". It's losers talk.

I asked a genuine question so there's no need to be snarky.
Judging by your reply, the answer is no, suggesting that people blindly, and sheeplike, sign these things, knowing the futility.
Sorry, but that's as loser-like as doing nothing.

It's not going to Parliament, it's for Aberdeen Council.
Councils tend to be more accountable for their actions.

Indeed. Yet they still seem to take the more financially agreeable course.

If we sit back and do nothing people like Trump just do as they please, he may be president of the USA but that doesn't mean he can do as he likes over here.
No doubt he like many other developers will attempt to bribe the planners with promises they have no intention of fulfilling or have clauses that make it
easy for them to wriggle out of

True, generally, but in this case Aberdeen council refused the initial planning permission for the golf course and were overturned by the Scottish Parliament. However with Alex Salmond and Trump falling out, the donald calling him Mad Alex etc, I don't think they will this time especially as the course has breached all enviromental rules, sewage pollution, didnt conserve groundwater to reuse as they were supposed to etc

And I have to declare an interest. Mike Forbes was the farmer next door that Trump tried to bully, threaten, tried to use a compulsory purchase, then Trump even fenced off part of the land owned by Forbes and finally cut off their running water. At that point hundreds of small plots of land were sold to people to make the possible compulsory purchase (or purchase by the donald) more difficult. We own the land and allow Michael Forbes to use the land as he sees fit, free. Direct action doesn't have to be violent.

So yes, read about what promises the donald hasn't kept about jobs, the environment and his bully tactics. Watch the documentary "You've been Trumped" it's on Vimeo about the whole treatment of Forbes. Entirely within the donalds character of course to lash out against those that oppose him. We've seen it oh so many times.

Pathetic attitued. Complete loser "er there's no point in doing anything or trying to do anything unless you know you will get what you want". "I don't want to try and fail I will feel worse I need proof I will succeed".Week.

Oh get over yourself, princess.
I asked a legitimate question, to which you seem to not know the answer, but you decided to get all arsey about it instead.
Did I say I've never signed one of these type of petitions? No.
Did I deny that Trump is a f***nugget of the highest caliber? No.
I consider myself many things, but weak isn't one of them.

Been following that story since it broke. There are a number of videos on YouTube, some NSFW.

The Trump way is to ignore the neighbours and just bully and take.

Perhaps the old Welsh way of dealing with the unwanted interlopers may yet develop and the owners of the expensive luxury on site residences may not relish coming home to a real fire.

Trump really needs to be brought to heal...

Sorry if I missed it but how come Trump is involved.......................did he not separate himself from his businesses when he became PoTUS or is that just for his USA business interests.

Shame on him for treating the UK differently whilst he apparently has done the above in the US

But hang a mo, I think I recall he just paid lip service to that obligation. Perhaps someone in the Scottish Government should write to the US congress and point out he 'illegal' activities ;)

No, he didn't, though he did place control of some of his business in the hands of his family.

Could have been the plan all along, the area loosing SSSI status will surely make his development plans alot easier.

It'll go the other way. His original plans promised to protect which along with all the other promises has failed to be delivered.
There's no love for him now with the Scottish Govt who overrode the planning permission, there's certainly more local and national opposition to him now, and the course is losing money. Could be another failure he bails from.

BBC 1 tonight :)

Hopefully Trump will lose out in Scotland and toodle off fromthe UK and Ireland.

He got Doonbeg in Ireland but not my favourite Links at Lahinch in Co Clare.
