Hate - People who double park (or worse, park in disabled slots) at atm's because they are too lazy or self important to walk 50 yards.
Sunday drivers, or worse, Sunday drivers pulling caravans!

Fussy - Having the trip counter in my van match the mileometer, drives me to distraction when someone else uses it and resets the counter.

People who pull out at junctions and just expect you to stop or slow down ,then they doodle along at a snails pace.:gag:

Oh yes, even worse.. people who pull up at a junction, stop, look, watch you approaching for a bit, then a bit more, then when it is too late they pull out anyway and you have to brake hard. :bang: OK, that is not really a pet hate, but I hate it anyway.

More pet hates....

People who expect everyone to go 'Awwwww how cute' or utter some other gooiness when they show you a picture of their offspring.

'Health & Safety' madness. The canteen at work have stopped serving half the menu because someone got a minor burn cooking it. IT'S A KITCHEN - THERE IS HOT STUFF THERE!!!

Fusspot to balance it out.

Computer - it must be working perfectly. Even if it doesn't affect anything I'm doing if something is wrong it must be fixed.

This forum #1 - When I get up to do something and have to log back in when I come back
This forum #2 - Wait "x" amount of minutes before doing another search.

The whole Canon v Nikon thing does my head in as well!!

Its enough to make a grown man go - OCH!!!

Pet hates: So many related to driving that it isn't worth me going into detail - I'll just get all worked up.

Fusspot: When opening and closing the curtains, the restraining fabric (can't remember what it's called - the piece that wraps around the curtain when it's open to hold it in place) must be hung in a particular fashion. I actually check it on a daily basis without really thinking about it!

People who say 'Obviously' a lot when explaining things. If you need to explain it then clearly it is NOT OBVIOUS!

On a roll here!

Buses with few if any passengers. No, just buses. They contribute towards congestion - they do not alleviate it. Buses should be banned from moving if they are less than a third full - which will keep 90% of the polluting monsters off the road.

I hate buses too. That and the fact that some halfwit has decided to get rid of all the bus stop lay-byes in our area. So now all the buses stop in the road causing congestion. Also why do we need two bus stops right on top of each other and don't get me started on bus lanes.

So much anger, chill out fellas and ladies.....:D

Pet hates: Widescreen televisions with a non-widecreen programme/film stretched to fit. Ridiculous.

Fuss pot: I don't read books that have been read by someone else, for me the book has to be a virgin.

pet hates...rude customers mainly ones who carry on talking on thier phones while you serve them and or never use manners.

Fuss pot..all my cutlery must be in the right place and not mixed up and teaspoons must have the bowl end facing to the left.

thats called getting uptight about your tie-backs

Pet hates? Better not start since I might not be able to stop!

Oddities? -----------------------"--------------------------

If I have to pick one of each, lense and only writing letters, cards, cheques etc with a fountain pen (unless there isn't one anywhere near).

and the way the dealerships have just added £2k onto the sale price of most new cars to ensure they profit from it.

our local Nissan dealer offers scrappage deals on 51 plate cars, scrapping a perfectly good car thats 8 years old seems crazy to me:shrug:

they probably aren't if the car is anything like saleable, via trade/auctions, etc. Bear in mind the gov scheme will ONLY take 10 yr old cars, and they HAVE to be scrapped [all in the name of saving the planet and sod motoring history], but anything under that will be dealer/manufacturer financed, so if they can claw some of that back by selling it on, they will ;)

there was a news report about some old guy shopping in a moggy minor in excellent condition, and it had to be scrapped, wrong so very wrong!

I think my pet hate is if people are posting numerous pictures on and don't put numbers on them, drives me crackers :p

I don't really have any fussies that I can think off but i'm sure other people will disagree :D

Lots of fairly low value, but perfectly good classic cars have been scrapped - because they can get £ 2000 for it rather than the £ 1500 it may fetch normally.

Whole scheme is daft.

I hate buses too. That and the fact that some halfwit has decided to get rid of all the bus stop lay-byes in our area. So now all the buses stop in the road causing congestion.

Just as bad when you're on a main road where your lane is wide enough for a bus to pull up and can still overtake it without having to drive onto the opposite lane, and then some bright spark decides to plant a "keep left" sign right in the middle of the road adjacent to the bus stop so there's no room to pass.

The whole scheme is flawed anyway, the people who can afford to buy a new car aren't the people whose cars the scheme is really targeted at.

Your average ned/chav driving an uninsured, unmoted 1990 Rover 214 (the sort of car the scheme is meant to be removing from our roads) won't be trading it in for a new car. Autocar had an article a while back showing the stuff in one scrappage yard, Audi 80 cabrios, MGBs and a 97 Fiat Bravo with 1200 (yes, hundred) miles on it.

"Are Jessops going bust" threads annoy me... ;)

pet hate- a critique forum for photographs gets shown a set of poorly composed soft images, most replies say 'great set' or 'nice pics mate'

Pet hate for me ( sorry am going to tar a lit of people with the same brush with this one, I am sure there is ONE decent one out there) people who drive German built cars who believe that nether the highway code or the law apply to them.

Fusspot

If I have an appointment I will always leave in plenty of time to get there, I would rather be 1 hour early than 10 seconds late, this even includes when I go to the doctors, the surgery is only 5 Mins down the road but I still leave 30 mins early.

Only other thing is properly polishing shoes, polish and spit all the way, I hate dirty shoes.

Pet Hate - "50p millionaires" Everybody knows some: BMW / Merc, hot tub, 3 holidays a year, 60in TV, giant leather sofas etc - all on credit / HP / finance. Our particular pair shop at Tesco / Aldi but have M&S carrier bags at the ready to transfer the shopping from the BMW to the house...... Materialism at it's saddest??

Fusspot - I can only cook dinner starting on the hour, quarter or half past the hour. I cannot start cooking at say, ten past six, I have to wait until quarter past....

This is an awesome thread!

I'd have to say my pet hates are two fold. A) People that can't bring themselves to say thank you when you hold a door open for them; they just wonder through. And B) People that cough and sneeze in public / combined spaces and don't use their hand. Disgusting.

Me being weird: I always have music on in my room. I can't stand quiet... Now, the weird part is that I always have to turn my amp up / down in multiples of 5 volume increments! I simply can't have it on say -47dB, it has to be either -45 or -50. Sad, I know :D

M & S is a status symbol? I must be missing something - cheap clothes and supermarket food.

Pet Hate: Middle aged women who love their cats more than people.
Fusspot: having to scrape cat fur off my tyres...
