Ok, I am a bit bored, I have to go into work and do a load of paperwork so looking for entertainment. Whilst sitting here getting ready after my shower, the following thoughts drifted through the post Christmas haze in my head and it occured to me to ask the other nutters, sorry, members, on TP for their own little foibles. Those odd, of no consequence little things that make you wonder why you bother with them when there are much bigger more important things to worry about.

My two are as follows:

Pet Hates: teabags in the sink!! :bang: Drives me nuts, why oh why can't they just be dropped in the bin/recycling box which is no further away from the brewing up area than the sink? WHY do I, as a non tea drinker, end up fishing them out and doing the job for them, both at home and at work? :bat:

Fusspots: Ok, this bit is about your self, what do you do that you KNOW is silly, possibly to the point of anal, but you just can't help it! :cuckoo: For me its moisturiser - whenever I squeeze a splodge from the bottle, I HAVE to then make sure I have what appears to be an equal amount on each fingertips before applying to face. WHY FFS!?!? Am I truly mad? :sulk:

so come on, time to laugh at yourself a bit and tell the world why you really are just a little bit loopy :D

Pet hate: People driving with fog lights on when it's not foggy.

Fusspot: Lining up screwheads so they are all in the same direction :)

Pet hate - noisy eaters and eaters that don't close their mouths when eating :bat::bat::bat:

Fusspot - far too many, I'm anal about so many things!!! One of them being about my screens, laptop, phones etc, can't bear people touching them and leaving finger marks. Quite why I bought a touch screen phone I don't know

Pet hate: People driving with fog lights on when it's not foggy.

:agree: :annoyed:

Lets see...

Another Pet hate: People who hog the middle lane on the motorway

Fusspot: if I accidentally touch something with one hand I have to do the same with the other :cuckoo:

all time no 1 pet hate for me: middle lanes drivers when nothing in inside lane for 200 yards, gets me every time, i've become a quite aggressive angry driver due to this, absolutely hate it

fusspot: throwing fag ends out my window, know i shouldn't, and it;s grim picking up a buckets worth of fag ends all wet and smelly every now + again!

Fusspot: Lining up screwheads so they are all in the same direction :)

Looks neat, but results in an inconsistent torque across the row of screws, and if using a standard straight slotted screw could be up to 1/4 turn out assuming sometimes you might slacken one off 40 degrees rather than turning it through 140 degrees. At least with a Phillips head you're only going to be 1/8th out.

Put a bucket or trough outside the window.

OK, just to confirm nutter status, another Fusspot: Car stereo volume has to be on even numbers....:cuckoo:

I'm not quite as bad with the volume but mine can't stay on 13  Although I have a mate who has to have tv and stereo volume on even numbers only

Don't set me off on numbers...for example 375 is great yet 241 is horrible...

I cannot have any volume on level 13 - in the car, TV etc. If it has an on screen display with the volume level, it has to be 12 or 14.

I also cannot stand having the temperatures in the car at 2 different levels - yes, I paid extra for dual climate control in my car and I never use it because the numbers on each display would not be the same :cuckoo:

Pet hates - using text speak on forums, emails and the like. Keep it to text messaging if you have to, but I'd prefer to send two texts that are readable than one full of gibberish. Also, over familiarity by shop assistants or call centre monkeys who ask me how I am and if I'm having a nice day.

Fusspots - not too many, although if I'm working on a car I'll turn all the radiator caps and oil filler caps so they read correctly when you are standing in front of the car.

Pet hate: people who brake for every corner regardless of whether they need to!

Fusspot: Keeping my wedding ring shiny, I'm always polishing it on my t-shirt!

Ha! I do that!

Fusspot: Lining up screwheads so they are all in the same direction :)

Thats not fussy really as thats the way it was done long before pozzi screws became the norm.

Pet hate - people who donot park straight in a space, i mean there are white lines 4" wide directing you FFS

Fusspot - My tool box is packed the same way and all tools put away every night. I am chippy

Major pet hate ,

Sitting in restaurant or any eatery or shop (like the other day)and this ass hole shouting into to his mobile phone ,everyone was looking but said nothing ,i walked over to him ,and said,(pleasantly) i didn't come her to listen to you shouting on your mobile ,kindly talk quieter or go somewhere else . And to my surprise he went to the reception area of the restaurant ...Result :D .I absolutely loathe mobile phones in public places

Text speak on any forum, middle lane hoggers, front fog lamps but worst of all is some of the posters on this forum who think thye are gods gift to photography giving resons why they dont like your photos and who dont have the balls to show their own and when they do they answer back stating they are right

Dave

Pet Hates - Foglights when it isnt foggy. Going 40 in 60. 20 in a 30. braking when there is no need. lack of indiactors. not thanking you if you let them out etc.

Fusspot - my car. Cant stand it dirty. Always feel ashamed driving it around dirty. It does my head in. I cant even stand the inside being dirty. I hate it. It has to be all nice clean and smell nice. (At the moment it is dirity but the weather wont let me wash it :()

I had a mate in the motor trade (Yv'll love this one) who wouldn't buy a car if the registration had the number 13 in it, or even if the numbers added up to 13.......

Pet hates - People who use "f" instead of "th" ie: fing instead of thing :bat:

Fusspots - I absolutely will not write with blue ink. People think I'm mad but I won't. I can't explain it but I just can't bring myself to do it :cuckoo:

ha ha - I'm like that with black ink! I have to write in blue!

Pet hate for me is people opening crisp packets or chocolate bars upside down, it really wines me up that people can't just look and open it the correct way

Fusspots

Can't use toilet roll or kitchen roll that has a tear in it.
Only have car volume on odd numbers.
Milk handle has to be put back in fridge facing outwards, NOT to the side
DVD's and CD's need to be put back correct way up in box.
Towel's have to be put on rack with label at the back.
Oh and opening my crisp packets and chocolate bars the correct way!

I could go on I have so many..... :bonk:

Pet Hate - People who are walking it front of you down the street and then just STOP. That does my head in.

Fusspots - All my CDs and DVDs have to be in alphabetical order
- I can't write in blue ink, black only.

OK, just to confirm nutter status, another Fusspot: Car stereo volume has to be on even numbers....:cuckoo:

I'm the same with the tv volume.....

Pet hate: People that bash their teeth with fork or spoon whilst eating.

Fuss Pot: Can't think of any. I'm not particularly tidy by nature and don't notice when things are out of place.

Pet hates: Litter droppers, feet on seats, middle lane hoggers, noisy eaters

Fuss pot: Punctual to the point of obsession :)

Aarrgghghh, just been reminded of another pet hate - shop assistants that carry on with their telephone conversation whilst they serve you :bat: Just nipped out to get a pack of biscuits [opened the correct way ;) ] and the guy in local papershop just carried on talking....

Pet Hate :

- People who stop their trolleys right across the middle of the supermarket aisle to have a little chat with a friend . . . always seems to be when the supermarket is jammed and they always seem to be totally oblivious to the fact that they're getting in people's way.

Fuss Pot :
Too many to name them all, but here are a few (OK, OK I know I'm really anal)

- Light switches. You know those double switches where you can turn on the landing light and hall light from downstairs? They have to be synchronised so that if both lights are on, both switches are facing the same way - even if that means going upstairs and turning the landing light on up there to get them lined up.

- Tins in the cupboard have to be arranged with labels facing outward and in order of the expiry date so that the oldest ones get used first.

- If I'm going up a set of stairs I always have to take the first step with my left foot (:cuckoo: that one's totally bizarre - no idea where it came from)

. . . I'll stop now before you all realise just how loopy I really am.

I know it well. The house I'd just left had a pull switch added into the mix as well so it took some extra 'configuring'

i hate when people do that on the bus, especially when they are sitting right next to you!! argggg!

if someone phones me and i am on the bus or in a restraunt etc.... unless it is extremely important. i will tell them that i will phone them back later, usually when i am in my house!

ha ha - I'm like that with black ink! I have to write in blue!
shame on you!:shake:
r
- I can't write in blue ink, black only.
i didnt think that i was in such good company with the blue pen-o-phobia, i refuse to write in blue only black, im fussy when it comes to pens i only feel i write well with either cheap as chips biros or those WHSmiths black Gel pens (has to be the WHSmiths ones not the scratchy cheap ones!). i think the blue-o-phobia stems from when i was in school and really struggled with my hand writing i was forced to write in blue (because it apparently looks neater if your writing is like a spider having a poo) when infact it makes my hand writing look even worse.

thats my fusspot

pet hate: people who are in no hurry what so ever to get through the traffic lights you've been queued for for ages, i dont mean driving like a pratt through them i just mean a bit of consideration that their are a queue of cars behind who would like to get home and not be stuck as you drive through the junction at snails pace:bang: (i have one such junction at the end of my road and the priority to get down the road only allows 5 cars through, or 2 if your mr slow at the front of the queue! it takes about 4mins for the lights to change back to our priority again so its darn infuriating!:bang:)

This has always been a sign of quality in best guns and rifles. The screws were, and probably still are, individually filed to fit their holes and snug up tight with the slots parallel.
