hi guys, im applying to do an fda in action photography as my ncfe course finishes soon and my tutor said i should go for the degree next, im absolutly bricking it, i fluffed my gcse's 17 years ago, didnt go to college, have only done 1 nvq level 2 (in the meat industry lol) and this ncfe level 2 in creative digital photography and i feel like im dreaming to just think i could do a degree in anything let alone the one subject ive ever been passionate about, so i really need to do a good personal statement to secure an interview.
any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated x

I'd say be yourself, your obviously passionate about photography, hopefully that will show through.
Good luck.

You'll be fine, degree courses are not as hard as some people would have you believe. If you are interested in the subject and can put some work in then I reckon you will have no problems.

My Dad went back to Uni as a mature student - he did a BA and an MA in interior design and furniture design. He reckoned that the only reason he got onto the course was because he could drive a minibus! So it is worth mentioning all the skills you have and going for it! Be yourself, be passionate and do it.

And yes degrees are not too hard, I even got an A level in just 6 hours, so anyone can get a good qualification if they really want to!

thanks, i hope i get in, how on earth did you get an a level in 6 hours??
