Personal cloud NAS storage

Happy new year, folks!

Anyone any experiences with personal cloud storage devices? I'm looking at the likes of a Synology DS212J with a couple of mirrored drives in it for shared media. Am particularly interested in the ability to access/upload photos/videos locally/remotely via Mac and iOS/Android devices.

synology will do whatever you want it to with the right config

Yep, what Neil said. Qnap do the same type of thing too.

The remote access can be done via a web browser so good for any device.
