Help needed
I would like to take a decent photo of my son for the mother in law to put on her wall, however he wears glasses and I cannot get a decent shot without the flash showing on his glasses.
I do not have lighting equipment and would like to take it indoors any suggestions please? :shrug:

I'd imagine a polarising filter would help, though I don't know if you can get one that'll screw into your S8000.

The other thing would be diffusing / bouncing the flash, again, not really sure how you'd go about doing that with that camera.

Don't use flash. Go for ambient with a reflector or two maybe.

Shoot near the biggest window you can find and use the natural lighting instead of flash

you could try having the wearer either angle them downwards a bit further down the bridge than normal a little, or raise the legs just off the tops of the ears to achieve a similar effect.

A very simple solution to this problem (aside from expensive non-reflective lenses) is to have the subject turn very slightly away from the camera - at a slight angle the flash will still reflect on the lenses but the light will bounce away from the camera sensor & not show up as glare. You can get some really nicely posed shots in this way

As suggested this is a fairly straightforward thing to do as long as the flash is reflecting into the glasses and away from the camera

In this picture of my Son, Partner and Grandsons I have used two studio flashes, one on either side. As you can see there is no reflection from my Sons glasses.
