It follows reports revealing claims that she had a relationship with her married third-in-command.

She'll be given another boat. I hope so anyway.

If she's a good officer bar one indiscretion who cares. People bonk at work. They shouldn't but they do.

So not only did she break the Navy's code of conduct but she's an adulterer as well.

Indeed, I really wouldn't be surprised if this is the end of her career in the service...I mean not only would this follow her round what ever ship she were posted to, it's also shown really poor judgement and poor conduct two characteristics not really desirable in a commanding officer

Hopefully exactly the same as her, well actually it will be even worse for him as no doubt his wife will now have his balls in a pickle jar in the fridge

Nothing. As long as it wasn't on watch or in duty time. He hasn't committed any offences.

She's lost her sea-going Command but she will get a shore post and keep her job. storm in a tea cup.

Under the Armed Forces' Code of Social Conduct, personal relationships between servicemen and women are forbidden if they compromise "operational effectiveness".

Still I guess it makes a change from the guy getting all the crap, as is fairly normal ;)
She broke the 11th commandant* and paid the price.

*Thall shall not get caught :D
 
She showed lack of judgement to say the least.
 
Its a lack of judgement, but folk are human. Its a bad error but a warning and reallocation would suffice. To blight her life for ever and not give her the chance to comand a ship again, would in my view, be a step too severe.

I know, but people err have sex Its what they do, they are pre programmed to f***. I love f*****g. Its great. She's done well upto this point, a discipilinary (final warning) is all thats needed. Happens again. Sack her then.

Not the issue. She was in command of a warship; bad judgement not allowed. There is the safety of the ship and crew to be considered, and she's shown lack of judgement. She's broke the code of conduct and is a bad example to her subordinates.

In fact she's done the cause of women in the services, particularly the navy, no favours whatsoever. The people who were/are against women at sea now have their prejudices justified. Also I cannot see how navy wives will be too happy. There will be many wondering what their husbands are up to whilst at sea.

As I said, she wasn't at work, she was in command of one of the Royal Navy's warships. If you can't see the difference between that and bonking at work, then gawd help us. It's not a case of not being able. A lot of people seem to think that just about any behaviour, any time, any place is acceptable. For all I care she can screw her brains out with who she likes when ashore, and, presumably, now she'll have her chance.
 
Maybe they'll post her to Faslane. :sneaky:

Bullsh!t. Kings, Presidents, Prime Ministers etc have all done it for years, as well as Chairmen, CEO's etc etc.

Not necessarily so. If they're all as horny as Steve and away for months at a time, who knows what might happen.
