Is there anywhere they sell second hand copies or are they only limited to the original person who bought it looked on the bay and only new copies .

Hi, If you talking about OnOne PS then I have never seen a used copy for sale.
I have the suite 7 and just ordered the suite 8 upgrade.
Before I bought the suite I only had perfect effects 4 and OnOne did a special offer that if you had any part of there product you could upgrade to the full suite for only $99 (That is $$$ not £££) maybe they will do the same again in the future for the suite 8 so if you buy just the one part you would use you may be able to upgrade at a later date and if not you still have the suite part that you would use.

Looking at these on the bay now and there are two versions available academic and premium editions what is the difference between them any ideas ?

The price is the biggest difference. The premium edition is the full-price edition and the academic edition is available to people in education or government. For the latter, see here.

I was looking at this software on ebay and I'm pretty amazed at some of the prices being asked.
I was also surprised that there are so many boxed cd versions around, since I would have thought that most people bought this sort of software as a download.

OnOne are soon to release Perfect Photo Suite 8 and currently have it on special offer to pre-order at $179.95 for the full (stand alone) version, and $129.95 for the Lightroom/Aperture plug-in version. These work out at £111.36 and £80.42 respectively (at today's exchange rate), which is cheaper than most of the eBay prices, all of which are for earlier versions.

I'm testing the beta version of PPS 8 and I'm quite impressed. It's a definite step forward from PPS 7.
I just can't decide whether I need it in addition to my NIK and Topaz plug-ins.
One thing it allows is the use of layers for things like background or sky replacement, which would be very useful to me, since I don't use Photoshop.
