Afternoon toggers!

I would appreciate it if you could all share your attitudes towards the easyGroup, for example easyJet, easyCruises etc

This is fairly important, relating to my Marketing degree so i would appreciate it if people could be honest

cheers, Tom

No frills, value for money, no nonsense. And for me, I can't really justify why, but infinitely more appealling than Ryanair, mainly because I can't stand their MD.

More openness and honesty in their pricing would not go amiss, that applies to all these budget airlines though.

Stack 'em high, sell 'em cheap would probably be the first phrase that comes to mind (in fact is, otherwise I wouldn't have typed it!).

They don't exactly exude an air of customer service to me, they just want your money and offer the bare minimum in return. Smiles cost extra and all that.

Not a company I would willingly offer my hard earned to to be honest.

They changed from Kenko to Starbucks hot chocolate (and coffee) earlier this year and the latter is horrible which means I no longer get a hot drink when flying down to Spain :(

As you probably know they used to have A, B, C and D groups when boarding the plane with those needing assistance or young children in A - then they introduced special assistance, then Speeding Boarding etc (strange but people who pay extra to get on the plane first don't arrive any earlier at their destination). There are always people who get ratty when trying to board in the wrong "group" and I would like to see them allocate seats when you book - would be quite easy as most people now book online and get their boarding passes this way as the current system is purely a money making exercise

I fly with them quite regularly and they get me where I want to go, generally on time and at a reasonable price and the staff are usually friendly and polite.

Horrible colour

Indeed horrendous :(

I agree with most of that, although i have flown with them a few times, i often wonder how these airlines do it so cheap, kind of makes me wonder from the safety aspect too, i don't think that TV program does them any favors at all, it seems a rare occasion you see satisfied customers on it, and that horrendous colour

The better side of cheap flights somehow, however the established airlines are still much more preferrable, mainly because of seat allocation, less sales oriented (well apparent anyway) and free drinks and food (well not free but essentially...)

Thankyou for the comments soo far

With regards to the TV program, most of the problems shown are from the tools who turn up 5 minutes before a flight with no passport and overweight luggage  They then complain, and easyJet don't do anything about it as the customer should have read the T&C

There OK till something goes wrong and then they have trouble with communications. I even had had a Court judgement against them and got judgement because they didn't reply to the Court Summons.

A bit useless having a emergency telephone number for customers to call their Customer Services which is only open 9-5 Mon to Friday.

i guess this is my views, i dont enjoy flying with easyjet (or ryanair either for that matter) because its just plain uncomfortable for tall people, obviously all the worlds shortest people buy the early boarding tickets and sit in the emergency exit seats........
i dont feel like im valued as a customer by them, by that i mean i feel that by simply being on the plane i am putting their staff out in some way shape or form and therefore they must be rude to everyone.

i will try not to fly wiht them if at all possible.

I don't have any major issues with them - cheap and cheerful is my experience... but then I've only ever flown from Gatwick to Edinburgh once.

You get what you pay for imo and for what we paid I don't have any complaints.

I also don't think the TV show does them any harm at all - usually the people complaining are the idiots who don't bring ID, or turn up late etc so I don't have all that much sympathy

I flew back from Poland recently. The flight was a reasonable price, baggage allowances were enough for me with full tog gear and luggage. The flight was uneventful which in my view is good. I left on time, arrived on time and my bags came with me.

all these things considered it was a good experience and i would use them again.

I've used them many times and without problems but tbh as said previously think of them as a bus service, cheap, no frills but get you there ....:D

Ryanair, even though it's not a great company to fly with, are a lot better with timing I found. Always seem to land on time or earlier.

I've flown with EasyJet many times with no problems to report. Usually pay with Electron and travel with hand baggage only, so rarely pay more than £40-£50 per flight all in. Flights are usually on time and they fly from Bristol, which is quite good for someone living in the back of beyond that is Plymouth!

I have used them a lot over the past 4-5 yrs, flying to-from Germany to UK for courses and to see my nipper while I was in England and he was in Germany.
i found them to be down the line (if they say check in before 1635- then do it or no flight), cheap (ish) if booked over a month in advance but hideously expensive if left to the last minute. its no frills, I dont expect a brew or sandwich, but neither will I pay their inflight costs.

when Taking my 6 yr old niece to Germany for the first time they were great, let us out to the tarmac first for a photo, gave her a teddy, I was actually quite impressed

We flew Easyjet to Paris when my daughter was 2, we boarded first, they took the buggy off us at the bottom of the steps, when we landed at Paris we were first off the plane, there at the bottom of the steps was our buggy assembled and ready to go, same in reverse at Liverpool.

I've flown with them twice and both times they were on time without incident.

Easyjet is a social experiment that truly treats humans like transportable cattle. It's a pyschological thing for me but I prefer to pay 200 quid a week to fly by an airline that treats me as a passenger. All about being human I guess.

We Fly easyjet about 20 times a year, the bottom line is there a cheap airline and dont expect to much, you get what you pay for, we use them becasue there cheap and it saves us money, on the other hand we have had a few run arguments with them over cancelled flights but you can expect that with any airline.

Over all good cheap airline and far better than ryanair, just wish they di a loyalty scheme for a buisness user

I've flown with them nearly a dozen times, to Germany, Poland, Holland, and they get the job done with no frills. I can put up with the no-frills approach and the lack of leg-room on the 'plane if it saves me a few quid. I will say that the priority boarding thing can be a bit of a shambles. We went to Berlin a couple of years ago and rolled into Schoenefeld ten minutes before check-in closed, leaving us at the back of the queue to board the plane. They let the people through, in order, into another room and then left everyone milling around for another five minutes. When they opened the doors to let us on the plane we were first in line. :)
