You might be asking a tad too much yes:D even if they did do a pentax to canon converter it'd only be mechanical, there wouldn't be any electrical connections so metering and AF wouldn't work.

It can't be done. At least, not if you want to retain useful functionality such as the ability to focus at infinity.

Canon EF lenses have a registration distance of 44mm. Pentax K lenses have a registration distance of 45.46mm. So in theory you could mount an EF lens on a Pentax (though the mount/adapter would have to be only 1.46mm thick) but not the other way around.

I did think i was pushing my luck :D .. So if i sourced an adapter it'll work full manual only,..i can live with that i guess

i dont think it will just be manual focus and metering mate

I use a number of pentak K mount lens on Canon eos digital cameras with no problems, they focus to infinity but have to be used in manual exposure, they certainly work with the 30d 40d 450d and 300d

I have used M42 EOS adapters, granted they struggle with infinity but work in AV mode (never tried in TV!), you just have to set the f-stop on the lens.

I have/am selling my canon gear and have 3 EOS M42 adapters if you want them for a donation to the forums funds. PM me if you are interested. One of them has the focus contacts, so will beep if in focus and the shutter release is half way down. I found that too hit and miss tbh!
