Pentax Lens Capatabilty ??

I have two old Pentax Spotmatics Non Digital Cameras thats belonged to my father but have seen their day. To go with these cameras i have s set of screw lenses Fish eye, standard, 135, 300mm bellows ect.
Ive been out of touch with photography for some years although do take loads of general pictures with a simple cannon Digital and print my own photos. Im looking to upgrade to a decent SLR such as CANNON - NIKON - PENTAX but wondered if any digital cams can take the old lenses I have.???

Have a look at this link http://www.srb-griturn.com/35mm-slr--dslr-cameras-to-35mm-lens-adaptors-324-c.asp to see what's available in the way of mount adaptors. Be aware though that many (or indeed most) DSLRs will have limited (if any) metering with your old lenses and will not autofocus!

Cheers for that. Thats a good start and yes i was aware of the outo modes thanks. Back to the old days of light meters and distance charts

Thinking about it, while AF won't work, the focus confirmation indicator WILL light up when the image is (as the camera sees it) correctly focussed.

Would I be heading the right direction with a DSLR around the £450 mark do u think I want something good as it will be my last ever camera upgrade that im aware off

You'll be ok to use the lenses as long as you have the right adapter.

I use an old Pentax 50mm f1.7 lens as part of my macro rig - I attach it to some cheap tubes by way of a mount adapter and it works very nicely indeed. Here's what it looks like: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=5209326&postcount=237

Thanks for your views and posted links, as usual one link leads to another and I found out more usefull information which you both just skimmed on. I will digest what im reading before puchasing my camera.

Or maybe I will see if i can get 'Spotmatics' overhauled

Try asking on the Pentax forum at dpreview. Pentax dslrs supposedly work very well with old lenses and hence lots of people at the dpreview forums use them and will be able to give you better advice - there aren't many pentax users here.
