The quickest way to tell is an M42 mount lens will have a screw type mount - afaik Prakticar B is bayonet

I've had a few M42 lenses in the past, stand outs being a Helios 44-2, and an SMC Takumar 200mm F4, which also comes in various mounts inc. Pentax variants - always gotta double check those mounts
