Pens that work

Agree with the Pilot V5 or V7

Fisher space pens. Wont leak. Used in space. Not expensive and will write anywhere and upside down.

Have a google and see what you think.

as stated i want to buy a dozen to have dotted about.. agree great pen but at 15 quid each thats gonna be 150 quid on pens... thanks but :)

Poundland sell biros at about £1 for about 20 or so - never had one leak yet - or you could buy a roll of food bags (approx 500 for a £1.00) and keep them in 3s all over your person - cheap and simple.

I used to use parker until I discovered Cross. Excellent pens that don't leak and carry a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defect (ie. spring breaks etc). I use a fountain pen and roller ball daily for work. Also Staples seem to have a permanent 50% sale on them

I do love how things look whwn using a fountain pen. Still use one at work, and for letters from home. (For the younger members, letters are what we did before email and text etc. Letters were placed in an envelope, and then a street address was written on the envelope. Then we put a stamp on the envelope and posted it. Quaint, I know  )

Err I usually wrote a name on the envelope before I put the address on it - and I still do :)

Try the Mitsubishi Uniball SX-210 Tony, it's the smoothest, fastest drying pen I've ever used. There's a link HERE for a dozen on Amazon but you can obviously buy them singly.
Separate cap so not much chance of a leak (not that mine ever have done) the ink dries instantly which is great as I'm left handed and often smudged the ink on other pens. Worth a look anyway.

Just got a 12 pack for £17 from Amazon. Excellent pens (y)

Speaking as a doodler, you'd think I'd know the answer straight up but in actual fact I don't really know of, or have a, favourite type of pen when it comes to general every day writing. Mind you, since I am left handed and thus I hold the pen in a cock-eyed way, it does become quite painful on my wrist after a while so I tend not to do that much writing anyway (I've become quite a fast touch typist as a trade-off).
That's why I try and keep my doodles quite simple and snappy where it rarely takes me more than an hour to complete one and even then I let the PC handle the touch-up and colouring in anyway, this way it prevents RSI from setting in.
